Fair point, but for services to who or what?

If we want to start a campaign like that we need to emphasise his leadership at some other things ...

What a ball for Berba.

Lost for words. He came on in the second and at 37 once again showed how it's done.

We did more in the two minutes after he came on than all first half, purely because of what he adds.

Outstanding performance and to think someone was saying he doesn't merit a starting place against decent opposition these days, he's had three excellent games now.. well worth the new contract and bring on that Knighthood already!

Let's hear it from those dickheads mouthing off in that thread about offering Giggs another 1 year contract.

No end product eh? See the 2nd goal.
Doesn't merit a starting place? Yeah right, the whole team looked clueless without him in the 1st half, against fucking blackpool.

Sensational really. I don't know if he should have started, he came on and pissed on them that's for sure.

Loved it how after the 2nd goal, instead of celebrating with Hernandez, with just a simple hand shake and a hand on the shoulder, he seemed to say 'get the fuck back in position, we're gonna win this game'

Bloody hell it's an insult to his genius to start Gibson over him.

Magnificent display from the great man!

Fergie dropped a bollock starting Gibson over Giggs today. We looked so much better balanced when he came on.

Stamped his authority on the game and brought us to life. What a pass for Chicharito's goal.

I'll tell my kids I had the privilege to watch this guy play two decades for us and how he still did the business at the age of 37. Legend if there ever was one.

And when he's playing with confidence he's incredible. The way he takes the ball on the run... they were shit-scared of him tonight

He always runs his quickest when he's got a new contract coming too, shows he's still got pace with the ball at his feet

THe FA are probing into allegations that Alex Ferguson played Ryan Giggs in 1991 when he was only 10 years old, and not 17 as first thought!

A spokesman from the FA was quoted as saying

"We have serious doubts about the official age of Ryan Giggs. He has passed all the necessary drugs tests without any sign of stimulant use and as a consequence can only assume that Manchester United falsified his birth records on his original registration 23 years ago."

The spokesman added

"This is a serious matter as it is illegal to play someone who would have been about ten years old at the time....we believe beyond doubt that his recent displays are physically impossible for a 37 year-old Premier League footballer."

Interesting!

He was the catalyst to our recovery. Immediately he took charge and led by example. He started to force the play, put their defenders on the back foot and even tracked back for every loose ball!

Surely he's not 37? He had more energy than everyone else on the pitch

Truly magnificent.

I suspect Fergie was hoping to let him have a rest - but he needed him 'big time'.

Actually Giggs started playing in 1991, when he was 'allegedly' 17.

Nonsense. Giggs can't play every match because his hamstrings won't take it.

Give Fergie credit for subbing Giggs off early against Birmingham City when Giggs was on song.

If it was a stronger opponent than Southampton on the weekend, or if the situation against Blackpool weren't so desperate two nil down, Giggs would never have been risked so soon after his last game.

Giggs will get a proper rest after these last two matches.
