I have the perfect pick-me-up:
1) CQ stays. 2) Ronaldo realises his mistake and declares that he wants to stay at United happily. 3) Cantona returns to coach the United Youth Team 4) Saha declares that he is finally injury free. 5) Neville declares that he is back to 100% fitness. 6) Wellbeck is found to be world-class. 7) Giggs understands that his role next season is to be the next super-sub and is happy about it. 8) PIG becomes third choice goalie with Ben Foster moving up to no.2. ![]() |

Remember how much general United fans felt about it though - those that didn't have tickets like myself who were within spitting distance of the players as they rode past and those who have watched from afar after tickets got scarce post-prem title. Everyone suddenly felt part of it, something that hasn't happened this year.

2) Ronaldo has to be "content" with staying at United and we will inevitably have to go through the same bollocks next year 3) Would be nice, but doubt it would happen this season 4) I got more chance of winning the lottery 5) And he'll declare it "2 weeks".. 6) If Rossi can't make it.. 7) Agree on this one, can see it happening 8) PIG ain't that bad, just has to improve on his catching from set pieces. i see your pick me up, and challenge with a put-down ![]() Once we start playing football again, i'll be happy. |

Maybe what I'm after is unrealistic. I love Man United FC and want everyone in the world to bow down and admit that we're the best. It aint gonna happen.
Three out of 4 semi finalist supports the fact that the Prem is the best league in Europe, and Man United won it AND the Champions League. And yet the best players prefer to go to Real Madrid. I havent been to Madrid but a friend of mine has been loads and reckons its a dump, so all they have is the weather.... surely its time we recieved some cap doffing from Europe I reckon I'll just shut the feck up and blame Sep Blatter for everything instead ![]() |

I've actually felt really good this summer. I mean..what a fantastic season, and what a pleasure its been watching United. I haven't let the Ronnie thing annoy me, since it was always on the cards. Whenever a team is really successful, there is always speculation about the teams best players. Ronnie has always stated he eventually wants to play for Real, so I knew that this summer would be all about him. Also, when teams win big, there is always this speculation in the media, especially the British media, that successful teams are going to break up - that players want5 new challenges. Its back page bullshit most of the time. Have you seen how many different journalists have been reporting about United in the sun this summer?. Not just the usual Cuntis borthers, or the odd other one..but around 12!!!!! Just shows that these coloumns must be filled.
As for new signings. Well, first I agree with someone else on here. This summer is a more normal summer for United. Last summer was an anomaly. We hardly ever act like that. However, the transfer deadline still have around 6 or 7 weeks to go. There has been very little activity from ANY of the clubs so far, including the European ones. I reckon late July and August will be buzzing.... Not sure what to expect next season. Perhpas we won't reach the heights of last season, but I'm going to love to watch us try!! ![]() |

excellent post Togg. good points each!
What you've made me realise is that after such a massive high there's usually a low. We raised our own bar. We could win the Prem and lose in the ECL semi's and consider it a poor season (which it obviously wouldnt be!) We have a young side that can only get better. I need to be realistic and just enjoy watching us develop. |

Hang on!!! We are the Champion in the best league in the world and we are Champion of Europe... means that we already have the best group of players on earth...
Those players who don't want to give us a try are frightened of not playing at all and crash like Djemba^2, Bellion, Veron etc. They are totally right I mean who would thought that Veron would crash at MUFC? It's simple as that! |

I blame Ronaldo for all the summer's ills. I have temporarily banned myself from exposing my male genitalia and stroking it until further worthy announcements involving transactions come my way.

ManU fans are naturally pessimistic, I dont know why. Sometimes at OT you can feel the tension in the air and this often transfers to the pitch and players.
Is this because of our unrivaled success and our high expectations? Is it because of all the jealousy out there and the certain knowledge that the media and football world in general pounce on anything about us they can criticise? The media and non-MUFC fans have had a field day this summer - and we've let them. |

I think this summer has been EXTREMELY disappointing so far.
The whole Ronaldo saga has dragged and dragged, and I believe, thanks to the press in England and Spain, he's leaving. Sepp Blatter is a absolute vile man - who doesn't understand anything that comes out of his mouth. And so is Mr. Calderon of Madrid. Some of the things these so called 'respectful elders' come out with, sounds like stuff on the school playing field that 8 year olds would say. I mean, the whole 'Slave' thing is an utter disgrace. £100k a week = A slave? It'd take me 5 years to make that. Some people don't realise what they've got. Nex point is, we haven't actually signed anyone - and SAF has come out and said we're only going to sign one player...? We missed out on Ramsey... Big disappointment again. This is while David Gill is halfway round the world, so he gets a squad member to show the player round. Great commitment there mate. Whereas, Arsene Wenger himself, flies over to Austria and gives him a pep talk. We should be pushing the boat out much more than we seem to be... I don't get it. We've now lost Queeroz - no matter how many people dislike or like him, he brought a portuguese/brazilian influence to United, and it could start to fade away now he's gone... So no ASM for the first 3 months, and we'll probably end up sticking with an U18 manager, with a few years exp. We sold a bright prospect like Pique for bananas to one of our biggest European rivals. Nothin this summer has made business sense. I'm disappointed. Unless there's more activity, then I can't see us winning much next year. I have a really bad feeling, the Ronaldo saga will drag on until the last week of August, and we'll be left with a huge pot of gold and not enough time to spend it and suffer for it. I really hope it doesn't come to that |
