CARLOS TEVEZ insists Ryan Giggs inspired Manchester United to Premier League glory.

Argie striker Tevez says the Welshman gave the team the perfect lift going into their final-day match of the season against Wigan at the JJB on Sunday — by keeping such a cool head.

Tevez said: “Giggs was on the bench and he didn’t say anything! He was totally calm about it. It boosted the whole squad.

“It’s impressive. I wouldn’t be able to react like that. I don’t have enough words of praise for him. Him and Paul Scholes. I would like to be like them. They have so much wisdom.

“With Scholes you don’t want to get on the wrong side of him. He can kill you if you are. Other players are very respectful of him.”

Tevez rates the title triumph as the greatest achievement in his career because of the way he had to earn it.

He added: “To have won the league in Argentina, Brazil and now England — I’ve achieved something unique, which I will be able to tell my grandchildren about. It’s an unrivalled experience.

“I’ve fought hard. I wasn’t given a place in the team because of my name. I got it through a lot of sacrifice.

“It’s beautiful not to be given any presents. Fighting against adversity is what I do best. I don’t like it when it’s made easy for me.

“I don’t know what easy things are like. The more difficult it is the better I perform.

“I work best under pressure. And at United I’ve proved it. I’ve performed at a club where you always have to be at the top of your game.

“I’m at the No1 club in the world. Being a champion here is incomparable.

“Now I’m focused on the 21st and the Champions League final. The whole team is.

“The season hasn’t finished and we have a big challenge to go.

“I scored my first goal at United against Chelsea. Now I want to repeat it in Moscow.”

Great person he is, our number 32 Carlos Tevez. Fantastic signing

He's been overshadowed by Ronaldo, and it's easy to forget it's his first season here and he hasn't always been fit, but he's slotted in brilliantly. Also contributed some massively important goals at important moments, which is something the likes of Cantona made their name for. Let's see how good he is when he's properly fit - I hope we sign him.

You know what? I am totally sold on Tevez now... When he came I was unsure about him, didn't think he was the lead striker that we needed. I now think he has a place in this team along with Rooney and a lead striker (dunno who, Saha?). I love his intensity and that knack of scoring goals when you most need them, that goal against the Hammers was a little peak into what else he has in his locker.

He's one of us that's for sure.

All the Tevez fans have been saying that he has a lot more to show and we'll see it next season... can't fookin wait!

Champion everywhere he's been, still wants nothing given to him and works his ass off. Made for United, great signing.

He'll be even better next season.

Love him. I actually love the guy, which in itself is quite worrying, but he was just born to play for United. And I'm so pleased he's at the club. I think Fergie pulled a masterstroke by signing him.

The way in which he has slowly, but surely, converted all the people that doubted him, is just a testament to him as a player and a person, he triumphs in the face of adversity.

Fabulous player, works his socks off, scores vital goals.

Looking forward to seeing more of him next season.

Good article by the way, a good read. I sent a copy to my mate in Buenos Aires.

he's a manager and supporters DREAM player! Works his socks off, takes nothing for granted, and scores important goals and last minute goals, often against rivals..

Reminds me of a certain number 20..

Love him. Our front three is near perfect now, if we can get a back up striker and possibly a right back our squad is complete.

Yeah, but he's short. Terrible signing, I don't see what the fuss is all about.

yup, i've been getting a lot of slack and ridicule in the past 3-5 years for wanting him at united.. this was back in his boca/copa america/olympic days, even through kicking brazilian ass with corintians, and coming to england to westham. was bar none my favorite player outside of europe and i'm damn glad he's at united.

Fantastic little player.

I love his work ethic, never stops running and harrassing defenders.

And when he loses the ball he chases back (please note Ronnie).

He'll be even better next season when he's got a proper rest, something which he hasn't had in over 2 years.

Him, Rooney and Ronaldo will be the most fearsome trio in the world for years to come
