I know its a long shot but i am looking for 1 adult +1 child ticket for the chelsea game at Old trafford (for me and my 7 year old son ), i am willing to pay the price of 2 adult tickets just to secure the ticket for him, coming over from Ireland for the game

Any help greatly appreciated, indeed me and him will consider tickets for most United home games this season ,face value of course

Cheers

Erm, so this may be a stupid question, but I do need some help. I'll (possibly) be in London with my girlfriend in late December, and would love to see the West Ham away game. What's the best way for me to proceed? Is there any way for me to guarantee that I get two half-decent tickets? I'd obviously like to be in the United section, but even that is flexible, I suppose.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You're all going to struggle big time for Away tickets. You may be able to get home tickets for away matches, but in most cases you'll have to properly keep your gob shut unless you're A) very hard and B) don't mind missing the rest of the match.
Fulham are the only London club I know of with a "neutral" section where you may have a chance. Oh for the days of Wimbledon.

No for the Utd game they dont have the neutral section, they make it all the away end. I had to sit in the Fulham end last year, worth it though.

Ticket news re CS

FA Community Shield, Manchester United v Chelsea, Sunday 5 August, Wembley Stadium, kick off 3pm.

We will receive an allocation of approximately 26,500 tickets priced £15, £20, £30 and £40. A half price facility is available for under 16's in the £15 area, priced £7.50p.

Box Holders and Executive Members can register an application by either telephoning the Ticket Order Line on 0870 442 1994 on Wednesday 4 July from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Alternatively Box & Exec Members can submit a postal application to Ticketing & Membership Services. The deadline for all applications is 5pm on Wednesday 11 July.

Season Ticket Holders will be available to register an application online shortly but the 24 hour Ticket Order Line on 0870 442 1999 is now available until 5pm on Wednesday 11 July. Supporters can call back for ballot results on Monday 16 July. Please note that supporters in the loyalty pot will be given priority however this game is not compulsory for loyalty applicants.

In the event of tickets remaining a further announcement will be made after 5pm on Monday 16 July.

The club are not responsible for failures in the postal system and Wembley Stadium has a no duplicates policy therefore an additional charge of £4.25p will be added to all successful bookings to cover the cost of special delivery.

Communtiy Shield game tickets would be great, or any of the first few home games! Would love to see some of the new signings on show.

Cheers in advance.

My Chelsea supporting mate has offered me a ticket for £30 - but in the blue lagoon - since I haven't seen him for a bit I'm seriously thinking of accepting.

I'm more worried about how many league games I could get to if I took up the ST I've been offered whilst on hol - my current work every other w/e and problems swapping means it'd probably be difficult justifying the expense.

Surely there won't be a shortage of people wanting to take up any game you cannot make. I get plenty of PM's on this site alone...

I reckon you should take up the offer...

When I rang them up they insisted only North stand tier 3 were still available - but they are only 1 year seasons - don't know how popular those'd be for games I couldn't make.

What do caffites reckon?

OK - send me a pm to remind me closer to season start and I'll try to work out a calendar of games I can't make for you to consider.
