I would but we've got a family thing organised for the weekend now, because we thought their were no tickets. I'll still probably ring them though, see if i can get tickets to some other game...Chelsea ballot is on 31st August.

Yup that would seem to make sense given that they state on the website there are 'tickets available in various areas of the stadium'. Some of them will obviously be unsold hospitality seats being offered at discounted prices, hence the £50 premium seating.
I wonder how many season tickets are still available. They say 'a very small number are still available (single seats only)' on the website. 300-500 maybe? If so you'd expect these remaining seats to have sold quite quickly for the Spurs game, my guess would be that they are struggling to shift the £50 premium seats. Still expect them to sell out though. Just had a look at Viagogo and there are 350-400 seats available for the Tottenham game. I'm sure people away on holiday has something to do with this, but even so five years ago it would have been a real struggle to get a ticket to a weekend match against Spurs. Just demonstrates the impact of the price increases and to a lesser extent the quadrant expansion. It would appear ticket availability will not be a problem apart from the home games against the Dippers, Arsenal, Chelsea and City this season. The member tickets from the club will still be fairly hard to get hold of for all games given that they only sell 4,000 on a match-match basis but if your prepared to pay the inflated Viagogo price you should be guaranteed tickets to 15 out of the 19 home league games (though you would probably have already bought a season ticket if you were planning to go to this number of games, unless the Compulsory Cup scheme put you off). Of course you can get into all games on a match-match basis if you're prepared to pay a ridiculous amount for hospitality packages. |

If that's the case, it is a joke, but I'm only conjecturing. |

Couldn't face waiting for rejection in the ballot for the Chelsea game.....so spent about 15 minutes just refreshing the viagogo page and......got one!
Admittedly, I've had to pay a tenner 'admin' (bollocks) and a fiver postage (when I could have just picked it up) but hey, I'm just glad to be going to this one. Viagogo - needs must when the devil drives. |

If anyone's interested and wants last minute Sunderland tickets, I've stuck them up on Viagogo, two tickets together for N3408 North Stand Tier 2. My sprained ankle and the stairs to get up to that section unlikely to mix well, if I can sell them will give them up on this occasion

A bit of a newbie question here, but anyway: I'll be in London for a few days in December and want to catch the West Ham away game. As a yank, I am a bit clueless as to how the ticket thing works in England. What is the best way for me to obtain 2 away tickets for the match, if, indeed, it is possible at all?

You may be able to get hold of tickets with the home support but it may cost a bit cause West Ham always sell-out. |

Two Tickets for United V Coventry.
Tickets are North Stand Tier 2 (6 rows from the front) about level with the 18yard box - really good view of the whole pitch and both goals. Face value is £38 - though there may be a discount as its a Carling Cup game. I will accept offers - nothing silly though. Tickets can be collected from Sale (10 min drive from OT) and will have to be returned there after the game. |
