I watched the "99 Final in the hospital with my 4 month old son Who had just been diagnosed with heart disease. His cardiologist was German and wearing the Munich top under his white coat. He joined me to watch the game in the room. The we lad has recovered well and we have sat through the match on many of occasions. I will never forget that day/night.. Credit to the doc aswell he took defeat well

I remember fucking some tidy bird in a flat in East London when United drew at Newcastle in December 2000.
And listening to the 1993 Charity Shield shoot-out on Riviera Radio at a campsite in Vence. And hearing we'd lost the title at home to Arsenal when I was in Rotterdam for the UEFA Cup Final. But generally the days when I could remember every match whether I was there or not are long over. ![]() |

I used to have this obsession of remembering every single game in details. I knew in which minute we scored, how we scored and what the weather was like on a certain day, all about games that were played up to 3 years backwards.
I lost that and thanks God for it, that was starting to be really creepy. |

I was at Butlins when we beat spurs 5-3, being that I wore my shirt someone ran up to me and said it's 3-0
"to us?" "no" "fuck off" Gave me a listen on his radio and it was true, left it and stayed under a cloud all day. Best Match of the Day I ever watched. |

I was walking in the street here in Australia at about 9am on the Sunday morning (a few hours after the final whistle). I was wearing a United shirt of some description and a Spurs fan I have never seen before or since, stopped me and started talking excitedly about the game. He knew the result but seemed even happier about the game than I was. I thought that was strange - but he was a Spurs fan.

I was at Nevada Smiths in NY for the away game against Villa. Mad place it was. Heard so much about it from the Caf and when I went there it was jammed pack with Villa fans (and a ton of ABUs)! And a Villan flag hung from the rafters. When Agbonlahor the roar was deafening. When United scoring the smaller bunch of United fans at the bar went mad. I think its also tradition that Fergies' Red Army is chanted for the last 15 minutes of United's games televised there. Wonderful atmosphere.
Another memorable game was watching United v Arsenal at a pub in Hamburg. That experience sucked. Ruud missed the penalty and the Arsenal players acted like a**holes, especially Keown. |

Why would I get a life apart from the United one? Sounds very silly! |

Watched both Barca games and the final at the Main Event in Toronto. BEST footballing experience Ive had. Packed walll to wall with singing and chanting the whole time. Impossible to get a drink and got many spilled on me. When VDS saved the penalty some people were even crowd surfing. Unreal. I will watch every big United game there from now on. Note to all caf members in the Greater Toronto Area, watch the big games at the Main Event on Yonge and Eglinton.
