United sitting on their hands.

I know all of the head honchos are on holiday but are we playing a dangerous game putting everything off until July both regarding incoming and outgoing transfers? Perhaps it's just a fans impatience but why not get everything wrapped up early so you can have new players there for the start of pre season?

I know we've had the Euros but I'm not convinced we are actually after anyone taking part. I hope we haven't got complacent after last season.

do we need to sign anyone ?

or sell anyone ?

if we dont sell ronaldo , all we will get is a stirker ... that too might be doubtful if manucho gets his permit and saha stays

Things will be happening in the background. With chelsea and other clubs on the market you have to be careful. I've every faith we'll be happy come the start of the season

Our moves this summer totally depends on the outcome of the Ronaldo saga.

If he goes, we have to change the set-up of the team, and probably sign three players. If he stays, we'll probably sign one or two players.

Last summer we did things very early, with the Nani, Anderson and Hargreaves deals secured. Even Tevez would have been OK had there not been complications. I'm sure the club knows what it's doing. It has already shown that it will do things early if it can.

Correct. We really have to sort the Ronaldo mess before we dip into the market. Think if he stays we would probably only sign one player- a forward, that too if a right player is available.

I don't think we can work on that basis. Surely we need to go ahead with any other plans we have, ie to bring in a striker and then react to the Ronaldo saga as it happens.

Anyone who thinks Manucho is going to be the answer next season is in dream land.

The most important maxim in football for me is to never stand still and always build on success. We can be an even better team with the addition of a full back and striker so why not get on with it and put the fear of God into the competition.

I understand that but they are clearly working on things.

Chelsea have reacted to their right back problem, Arse have Nasri and Liverpool are bringing in their usual crap.

Because, if Ronaldo leaves, the dynamics and the way we set up change.

If Ronaldo stays, it is fine-tuning that's required.

If Ronaldo leaves, it is re-building an attack that is required.

Can't believe so many people begrudge a manager taking a well earned holiday!!! When else are they meant to go on their jollies? Leave the poor sod alone eh, I'm sure our summer transfer plans will be executed successfully on his and probably more accurately Gills return

I'm not throwing a paddy or anything guys. I'd just like to think we are really building on last season, because Chelsea are unquestionably going to be stronger next year.

We simply cannot just wait for the Ronaldo saga to end. He's on holiday for three weeks now and we could be into August before we know what's what.

Do you think so? Lampard, Carvalho and Drogba will probably leave. I think Makele will move on too. Even if they dad some quality players it'll take them time to settle in.

Scolari will get unlimited money and they will sign a lot of players. They are already stronger for the signing of Bosingwa.

I will claim to my dying day that Porto only won the CL that season having played against a succession of shite all the way to the final. The only decent team they faced was United and were cheated. We also had Quinton Fortune at left back.

To be fair they out played us at the Dragao. 2-1 did flatter us.

We've signed plenty of players in July and August over the years, last year was almost a one off for signing most players early. 2 years ago we bought Carrick in late July and sold Ruud around the same time and it didn't affect us for that season.
It would be better to sign players as early as possible but it shouldn't be anything to woory about on the 24th of June.

To be fair we weren't a great side by United standards that season. The fact that we were the best they faced that year tells you everything about the standard of their opponents.

fear not, i have a very good friend who is in the inner circle at old trafford, i cannot give you his name but i can give you the alias he uses to contact me. Fir Slex Aerguson. he is of scandinavian decent i believe. he assures me that money is in place to sign messi from barca, kaka from milan. he is then planning to blow the rest of his considerable budget on hull duo nicky barmby and dean windass.

dont know why is the whole drama about signings?

We dont need much of a rebuilding to be honest, we just need the perfect striker plus getting Manucho his work permit and we are done for the next season.

All those Ronaldo craps are not getting to me, we obviously are planning with an entire squad next season and that wont change even if marca writes more bullshit for the whole two coming months. We have made our position very clear ages ago.
