Unsure where to go...

... no piss takes. If you are not superstitious, or if you cannot at least be receptive to someone who is, then feck off!

Wigan and Chelsea. I am not lucky enough to be watching either game at the respective stadiums. They are such big games in the context of how the season will pan out as a result. As such you want the atmosphere around you to be electric.

I have developed this concerning trend of watching United do terribly in one particular pub. But for atmosphere it is the best place in Cardiff (where I'm at uni). I am convinced there is a hex on the place. My local should be pretty good on the night, but I am not sure I will be with many United mates in there. That and it's full of Scousers. Alternatively, I could forget about my obsession with atmosphere and watch the final in the confines of my living room (where we have a 100% record and have yet to concede this season).

So what shall I do boys and girls?

Does anyone else have any quirky United related superstition?

Well, if you are superstitious, surely your mind is already made up based on what you posted?

I drive down to this pub 40 miles from my place, in the last few times I have been there we have performed poorly, hell the last few times we have actually lost. Therefore, I have stopped going there to ensure united march to victory. There is no way I am going there on sunday, hell no!

Watch it in your living room then.

Pretty obvious.

Well yes. Home. But I want to be in a buzzing atmosphere with my United mates if we win! Then again, I suppose I can always pop down the pub afterwards.

I embellish a little. The 100% record in the living room is 2 matches - 1-0 Barca and 4-0 Arse.

That said, those are two fecking good results!

I know this superstition is bollocks - but it will eat me up inside if we lose (God forbid) and I watched it at the 'cursed pub'.

You have two options. Watch it at home or drive to Wigan and watch it in a pub

Don't have Sky at home. So Wigan will have to be watched in a pub.

Well then everyone will have to make sure they follow their pre match rituals for these two matches. Our team needs all the extra help it can get.

Yes, I have been thinking that is the best option. Fews beers in house, then off out if we win.

I implore everyone to stick to their lucky superstitions. It can't hurt.

My mate Adam reckon i am a lucky omen, he has never seen us beaten in a major game which i have been to (proof... i was the bottom of the 'V' in 'Beleive' for the Barca game ).

Thats why he chose to give me his spare ticket for a week last Tuesday instead of people he new more.

Now if any of you tards really cares i suggest you sort me out a spare for Sunday, it's on your concience if you dont.

Just do everything exactly the same as the 4-0 and 1-0 matches and make sure you wear the same clothes too FFS!

If you don't and we don't end up with a double you'll never forgive yourself.

Watch is at home and don't ruin it for the rest of us. I for one will be watching at Toronto's official Manchester United Pub. i watched both legs against Barca there and I will be bringing the same people with me that watched the second leg. It will be good luck.

Recently I have a superstition that has worked wonders for us. I have a small United flag for my car. It falls off when I roll the windows down. I thought that this was a bad omen but it is not. I simply put it back up on gameday and we haven't lost or drawn when I have done this. Saterday night I will put it back on and we will beat Wigan easily. AND, I will not watch the game with my brother who is a dirty Chelsea fan. This works too. I smell a double.

Just out of interest are there actually pubs in Canada and America, or is it just because it is a united specific one. May seem like a silly question but i didnt think they were called pubs there, i thought they were just bars or something.

I actually have a 100% record when watching United live in the stadium in the past 10 years (only about 12 games), but I'm stuck half way round the world at the moment...

I'll probably do the next best thing and watch it at work...
