We deserved to win it

Didn't we?

Not the best performance ever.

And how average are Chelsea?

Doubted SAF's substitutions in the second half, but in retrospect he got both correct.

Feels weird to be slightly disappointed with coming from three goals down away to Chelsea. Great spirit shown by the players when it mattered.

You will just have to make do with a moral victory.

No we didn't. We defended like clowns.

We deserve plaudits for our show of character post Chelsea's third goal, though.

We didn't deserve to win it, that is the worst Chelski team we've seen for years and they found themselves 3-0 up. We were so sloppy in the first half, Giggs and Rooney inparticular. These two seemed to constantly make wrong decisions, it's common for Giggs but Rooney needs to get his act together.

Scholes showed the difference in central midfield controlling the game when he came on, it just shows how much we need a central midfielder who is younger as Giggs isn't one no matter how much he plays there. Hopefully Cleverley can provide that spark as Carrick and Cleverley on paper looks like a good partnership.

Why on earth Rafael was taken off I don't know. He was immense.

the match stat will show chelsea had more shots on goal than us. so its really hard to dispute we deserved to win, we were lucky not to lose actually in the end.

He was taken off in a tactical more, and Valencia is pretty damned good at right back as well. It was either take Giggs off or switch Valencia to RB.

Should have handled that match with a bit more care. Sloppy goals conceded but made up for it upfront with purpose.

Our defending was woeful for their 2nd and 3rd goals. If we had started the half well we would have won.

No we didn't.You can't play like a Barcelona in midfield yet defend like Wigan and get away with it.

It's an irrelevance how poor Chelsea are ultimately I'm concerned with how we play.We are a work in progress

I mean Chelsea going 3-0 up was pretty wierd.

They really didn't do anything.

It was spastic defending by us and bad luck for 2 own goals.

While if Rooney had at least 2-3 of the 7 final passes(If I counted correctly) right, it would have been a completely different story.

Giggs should've been taken off. I want my best player on the pitch to actually stay on the pitch.

We're probably the only bunch of fans in the world who would have something to complain about only getting a draw when we're 3-0 down at Stamford Bridge.

I'd say that we should have won because Chelsea were there for the taking. They didn't seem to have any real plan to win the match apart from hoping Sturridge shits on some defender or we save them the trouble and do their goal scoring for them, both of which happened sadly.

But we didn't deserve to win.

I agree with this

We were very sloppy in the first half going forward, and crap at the back in the second

Fortunately, we're Man United, and Chelsea are average

I thought our attitude wasn't up to scratch for the first 50, it was so easy and they were so blunt I felt we had began to take them lightly.

Going three down was a good kick up the arse.

mom?

he's been playing like this for nearly a couple of months - can barely get a pass to a red shirt and move after move breaks down with him

Any team that defends like that doesn't deserve anything. Luckily we got a point.

We didn't deserve to win it. We started well, then had a 15 minute spell of basically waiting for Chelsea to score. Then we kicked into gear...and then we didn't turn up for the first 15 minutes of the second half and should have been burried...and then the last 20 minutes were more of a free for all rather than us taking control of the game.

It was a great fightback, and gutsy as hell at times, but you can't pick and choose which parts of the game you're going to play well in and then walk away saying you deserved to win. A better Chelsea side would have been more clinical and pulverised us for being so open and switched off at times.

Plus, our defending was diabolical all afternoon. Laughably bad at times. Out of our back line, only Rafael (who was great) really managed to pass off as competent.

I thought Evans did pretty well in honesty. We were obviously going to risk things once we were 3 down which meant Chelsea got more of a run at our defenders but I don't think we were that bad on the whole. Yeah, we need to cut out the sloppiness but Luiz was also pretty smart for his deflected goal - you could see him instructing Sturridge to block off Rio.

It was a matter of what was the best formation. If he had removed Giggs we wouldn't have had a natural left-sided player on the field. We scored two goals after the substitution and the equalizer was from a Giggs cross. Plus Rafael may have been running out of steam or carrying a knock.

Don't second guess SAF

Evans positioning was really poor all game. He kept letting Torres run off him and even after it'd happened 4 or 5 times didn't wake up, and only got away with the last one because Torres fluffed his lines about 5 times before trying to get a shot away.

He's caught Luiz disease.
