Me, I'm fearing the traditional Chelsea United blueprint of games. We do really well for the first 25-30 minutes and then Chelsea get a hold of the game and dominate us in midfield.

The whole of our support is it feels like FFS.
Have some faith. I'm going on Sunday and fancy us to turn up and snatch the points 1-3. I wouldn't bother turning up and splashing 50 quid if i was as pessimistic about the English champions as some. |

Our backline on current form is very concerning. Drogba and Anelka have been on fire as a partnership. I expect us to be overrun in the midfield as well. I'd say let's just throw the kids in the deep end, sink or swim. Macheda, Welbeck, and Obertan to start.

As I said in the matchday thread, some of you need to grow a fucking spine.
Chelsea haven't had the better of us for some years now, and their team is exactly the same as it's always been with no noticeable improvement IMO. It's stupid to think they're likely to roll us over. I just can't see it tbh. |

We all felt confident taking on Barca - Chelsea had already shown how a strong midfield could restrict their one-dimensional game to playing pretty balls back and forwards in the middle thrid of the pitch without ever carrying a real goal threat, and we knew they were beatable at the back.
In the end, the "real" Barca showed up for the final and we didn't. These thigns decide football matches... as the cliche says, the form-book goes out the window. |

When is the last time we had a 5 or 6-something annihilation? We are long overdue for one. It wouldn't surprise me...
That said, we can rise to occasion like we have many times in the past. Fletcher is a big game player, and if he takes control of midfield, Chelsea might be in for a surprise. |

It was only about 3 weeks ago they lost 2-1 to Villa, since then they hammered a injury hit Blackburn, a Madrid team in shocking form and shite Bolton team.
Have faith people |

![]() Some here seem to think it will be a walk in the park for Chelsea, which is what I'm disputing. Let's not forget that Chelsea lost to Aston Villa and Wigan fairly recently, so let's not make out they're invincible. We've got Fletch back, and if we play it right, I'm very confident we'll get something out of the game. More confident about this one than I was for the dippers' cup final. |

No, no cause to be as yet.
If at just after 3 o'clock on Sunday it looks like we've stuck with Plan A from the season thus far, i might start to become a bit edgy mind. |

some right tripe on this thread.
Fact- We are not playing well, we have little or no creativity and other than wigan away 2nd half have not looked too hot all season. FACT- chelsea are full of goals and have home advantage FACT- we must be 2nd favourites for this game. There's nothing wrong with a bit of concern, especially after the way we played at anfield. When things are against us this is when Man utd stand up and be counted, i for one believe we can do it sunday but there is certainly nowt ABU about having some concern. |

why are some of you bringing logic into it?
Were liverpool in better form then us when they beat us? Are they a better team? No.... So if players have something to prove 9/10 they'll rise to the occasion and sunday will be no different. Will we win? We've as much chance as they do. It's that close. |

I think we'll play alot better than many fans, neutrals and pundits seem to expect.
Result can go either way of course. Chelsea are at home so I'd make them slight favourites, but we'll perform well and turn it into a contest, of that I am sure... |

![]() Our recent record isn't great down there but with only Rio missing (give or take), we should be stronger then we were midweek. I think it'll be a draw though. 5-5 |

I reckon we could easily get more spanked than max mosely's arse but also could be the game where suddenly we turn on the juice and win comfortably, never know with games like this. I do always find it hard to anywhere near expect a win against chelsea away, annoyingly at this point id take a point but often when i say that after the game we have one but should have had all three.

Can anyone remember the last time we were under-dogs to this extent? Literally every cnut has Chelsea down to stroll it.
Fuck it though, it's good fun watching a game we're expected to get beaten in. Nothing to lose and everything to gain. Bring it on. |

FFS some of you on here think that Chelsea are some sort of unbeatable team and we are going to go there and roll over and lets them spank us.
OK so we have our injury problems and are missing some key players, have we all of a sudden become a shit tean that Chealsea will batter. I dont think so , so they have scored a few goals , but they also have had some bad results. Iam confident that what ever team is out there on Sunday will give 100% Have some faith in our team. |

I think Michael Carrick's return to form is a huge boost and Rooney looks like he might be coming out the end of one of his shit spells. I also think Chelsea are getting over-hyped after two great performances. Just ask Wigan. I think we can get a draw, maybe even nick a win. |
