All I know is: (from SAF himself during press conferences, pre-match and post-match interviews

Rooney = wazza
Vidic = vida
Ronaldo = Ronaldo
Ferdinand = rio
Brown = wes
VDS = edwin

I think you mean what the players refer to each other as mate, not the boss.
One major unobvious one was the lads called Keano 'Keaney'. Sharpe was Sharpey, Butt was Butty etc.
Saha was called Louis (rhyming with Huey, not Lewis), Neville is simply Nev, Beckham was Becks, some very obvious and simple references there...

Yes this is fairly accurate.

Sometimes he mixes it up a bit and throws a "lad" in there.
