If he bought United he could let it tick along quite nicely. He's building a base there and has only been to the ground once. I reckon he probably stands well back and lets cook and his team get on with it. |

High profile managers seem happy enough working for him. Sacking Mourinho was probably a mistake but I'm sure he's learned his lesson now. |

And Yuri Zhirkov is the evidence that he is still messing with transfer policy. |

How do you know their owner doesn't have a ticket price tweak planned (among other things)? It's just too early... I'm sure the cowboys sounded perfect to the scousers early doors... absolutely fuming now though. |

They cant put ticket prices up at City because they dont sell out as it is - and sacking Hughes was a mistake as far as I am concerned - it is exactly the type of short term attitude you see from big money owners.

With the amount of money the Man City owner has a planned ticket price tweak will be detrimental to his cause as Roodboy outlined earlier. |

If they don't clear the debt then we are left with a model where we are still servicing interest but with fans given a voice and hopefully more of a say over ticket pricing policy. |

I get the feeling people would find a reason to complain and hate regardless. We're enjoying one of the high points in United history right now. If we were not successful, top of the list would be lack of success, then debt. If we were not in debt it would be something else.
This sort of management is the price you pay to have success. Times change, the club has adapted. If we had a billionaire dumping money into the club and we were successful and debt free people have already said they would complain about us lacking a soul. People are just fickle. |

their funeral, sick of the support the glazer crew, coming out with rubbish, glazers are worse than the the two ronnie's in scouse land, at least they spent large amounts (even though the fat waiter bought rubbish). The Glazers can do one for all i care, i want the club to be a power house again and not Real madrid's B****.

Looking specifically at Hicks & Gillette, in the 2 full seasons since they took over he's spent over £108m at a net of £23m per season. In the 3 seasons he had prior to that he spent £102m at a net of £22m per season. However you look at it, you can't deny that they have baacked him in the transfer market, continuing to enable his ludicrous spending on mostly shit players. The single biggest thing t Hicks & Gillette have done to the detriment of Liverpool FC's fortunes on the pitch is to not fire the clown ages ago! *Note: The £140m and hence the £18m per season includes their equivalent of our Ronaldo windfall - £30m for Alonso - which actually puts them £4m in profit for this season. Without it they would be on £26m spend, and continuing to average over £23m per season. This is one area where there could be some evidence of the purse strgins recently being tightened - ie "Where's the Alonso money gone?", but there's no evidence prior to the start of this season. |
