He he bonfire night at Celtic.

I'm well tempted to book with MU travel, 50 quid plus the ticket price.

How many top red points would i lose?

Had flights booked, but can refund 'em.

I didn't realise there was any particularly stigma for booking through the club? It just makes it shitloads easier, I thought.

Fucking hell, what have we come to when it's bad to buy things related to the club we support?

I try to give as little money to the club as possible, bar the match ticket...
And travelling independently is generally alot more fun.

So ideally i'd avoid going with MU travel, which will also be full of idiots.

It's called common sense. Same reason why nobody with half a brain goes on package holidays anymore - cheaper and more fun to sort it out yourself!

I dont give any money to the club (except ST) because everything is they sell is a fucking rip off nowadays! If I could go with MU Travel cheaper than any other option then I would do it and I'd rather buy a £5 tshirt from a stall than anything from the megastore for the same reason.

You cant tear me away from my ronaldo bumbag though!

fair enough, dont buy stuff ifs its expensive but to puposely boycott anything that the club offers, (apart from the football!) is stupid. either protest the whole way or dont at all.

why?

The clubs is raping it's fans left right and centre through steep ticket price increases, ACS, viagogo, chaging shirts every 2 minutes,

Why would a match going fan want to give any more money to the club than is necessary?

Everytime I see a parent walking out of the megastore with their kids and shopping bags I just feel sorry for them. If your kid wants the latest shirts for xmas/birthdays it costs an arm and a leg.

How much does it costs nowadays for a family of four to go to a match, visit the megastore, eat, etc?

A fucking fortune!

I don't want to but anything, but I'm very weak when I see united stuff. Luckily I only buy one united shirt a season and my match programme. I have stopped using the refuel, because they are ran by muppets, always can't add up the price of a pie and a crappy beer and by the time I get served, its time to goto my seat. Actually I really fucking shitin ahte the refuel tuck shops!

Tell me about it. I get my emails to my phone. Every other one is from United and its all crap.

I'm doing my bit for tha anti glazer cause though. Instead of buying pies in the refuel shops at half time, I'm secretly smuggling in my prawn sandwiches!!!

thats not the point of this is it really?! im a student, i can barely afford anything myself, so i have fully sympathy.

but the point is, even if things were good value, some people dont want to buy it from united cause we're owned by that yank. but theyd happily pay for the ticket.

I pay for the ticket as i'll always support the shirts no matter what, and while i can afford it i'll go.
I have no choice but to buy a ticket if i want to support 'em.

I do have the choice to boycott everything else....so i do.
And i'll protest until the day he leaves.

Ofcourse there are people who are much more committed than i am, and even have stronger feelings about it.

Hence FC Utd, but lets not go there

Exactly because of the way the fans have been treated under the Glazers.

Its expensive enough to go to games as it is without throwing in an Evra bumbag, a program full of shite, and a lukewarm pie that will give you the shits for a week.

If i think something is good value I would buy it. However that statement does not apply to almost all of whats in the Megastore
I bought a top half price in the sale once and thats it, that made it roughly the right price.
I dont like being ripped off for any reason and most of the stuff in the store is vastly overpriced.
Its much more fun to buy from the guys around OT and much much cheaper
you just have to be carefull about quality, but mostly there isnt a problem.
Support the little guys
The store does well out of the "day trippers" and "once only in a lifetime visitors" they probably dont think about it
The only one i avoid is the burger girl that wears a Liverpool shirt behind her apron, most of the time you cant see it, just when she bends over and the sun gets blocked out, then you can see it. I just cant buy a burger off her I reckon she must spit on them before she cooks them
No seriously Ive seen her with it on at least twice last season.
