The lack of a parade and the Ronaldo thing ruined any lingering celebrations of these great successes. Rio and Hargreaves talked about this during the week.

Could it be a good thing in the end that the CL and PL double has so quickly fogotten though?

Roy Keane seemed to think a lot of players coasted in the aftermath of '99 and it's why we did not win the CL again.

Good thinking. It may be a blessing in disguise (thanks Ronaldo) as the players and management have not been allowed to slack off. This whole situation has dampened the feelings of success and everyone should be aiming to get that feel good factor back again.

heh heh, I saw this dude I met on the street a while back whilst wearing a United track top. He's a big fan and back in April he predicted we'd win the CL. I saw him a week or two ago after not seeing him for a while. We looked at each other and I said 'Is that you?' then I pointed at him and screamed 'Champions!!!!'. Learned he is from Ghana, super guy.
