BTW, your comment about Spurs being organised, creative and fast in attack than us right now can been shot down with last season performance from Berbatov. If you want fast, organised and creative football, we had all the talents in last years team and yet we did not see the Berbatov of Spurs here.
I don't believe he has given his best but he's not a failure as some suggest.
As for last season, I don't know if you'll agree but we weren't really fluid attacking wise, plus Berbatov was new in the team.

Many on here say that we're off form because we're in transition, that it's hard to maintain a brilliant form after three titles in a row, puls Ronaldo left, injuries and what not, but why all of this isn't mentioned when it's talked about Berbatov? I think it's pretty relevant to the whole situation.
And that was my original point.

but then again I'm maybe defending a lazy git
the risks of speculating..

If Carrick sprayed passes half as well as we all know he can then Berba and Rooney wouldn't have a problem. Berbatov wouldn't have to drop deep to collect the ball and Rooney could follow him up the pitch to make an impact

Trust me, the armband would amplify his current efforts. Not worth the risk IMO. He needs to mature some more.

Berbatov's ''busting a lung'' is in slow motion dude. Because his acceleration is slow, PERIOD! Anyone expecting him to suddenly get on the end of a quick cross just beyond him is utterly delusional really.

The only time you can rightly be mad at him is when a cross is 'floated' into the area like against Leeds and he just watches it. Rather than launching himself at it, like he did to get a cross behind him vs Blackburn (was it?) to score his bicycle kick..

TBF to Carrick our lack of consistently good width has reduced the options for him to pass the ball. He like Scholes has always passed the ball by switching play constantly between flanks, to create space for players just ahead of him.
