He has been very unlucky with his injuries this season, the first two months of this seasons were really start-stop so it's not a surprise that he'll take some time to get back into his groove. Beside I think it's actually impossible not to love Hernandez if he's playing in your team.

He came to us as a bit of a prima donna and he ended up more of a complete player. He's different from Hernandez though. He was never a natural finisher as Hernandez was + his stronger and bigger physical frame allowed our coaches to develop him the way he had become. Hernandez is a smallish type of striker. Bulk him and he'll lose his pace. Don't bulk him and he'll be pushed around by the typical EPL defender. Hernandez will never dazzle teams with touches of brilliance as Zola did and he'll never drop deep and win the ball like Rooney does. Its not his nature to do so and he lacks the crystalline technique and creativity players like Zola had or the physical frame Rooney has.

In my opinion Hernandez already does what he can do best ie stay side by side with the last defender, wait for his chance, once that chance comes he beats the player with shrewdness/pace and score. He's a pain in the arse as he keeps the opposition defense on its toes creating space for others in the process. Just ask Stam what it means having someone like that against you

Speak for yourself! I'm an English United fan and I care about England. Don't care if people don't like me for it. I'm English so I support England. I know that's a really mad idea, but that's just the way I do things...

Im happy with Hernandez as he is (he can improve his passing skills etc but those are details) and I hope he remain the player that he is now because he gives us a different approach to our game.
At the time of his transfer, Fergie thought that Cole was the best striker in the league. Pundits were howling for his inclusion in the England squad and lauding him to the rafters for his performances for Newcastle, which included a lovely goal against United. It seemed to me that the criticism of Cole's "overall game" only started once he'd signed for us.

He was at a relatively small club with the likes of Beardsley creating chances which he converted into goals. That system had worked well for Newcastle but he had to change his ways at United since big clubs tends to avoid having a focal point which can result into single point of failures if carefully marked. That doesn't mean that Coley was shite (quite contrary)

Hernandez is a little off form, but it's more a case of people loving what Welbeck brings to the table rather than 'going off' Hernandez. Danny does have a better all round game, is more dangerous outside the box and combines better with our other players. Hernandez is supreme once we get into the penalty box though.
