Why "There's Only One United"
A million reasons of course but surely the excitement of a whole season of graft and cunning culminating in a final ten days, guaranteed to bring your emotional boiling point beyond normal human capacity. As has been said before; "Football is not about life and death ... it's more important than that!"
First the Sunday game against a well disciplined Wigan team (that were magnificent in their victory over Villa on the weekend btw). Dare I say Brucey had them playing like a poor-man's United. Tight at the back, quick to counter and not over-awed at the much celebrated O'Neil's team with a ton to play for! Have no fear, as well as the Wigan team have become under Bruce, the Shirts will not be undone, so to speak. And I am counting on the local Calgary pub (where we'll all be watching) will be serving pints by at least the local 10:00 am estimated finish time, and me being well on my way by noon! And then comes Moscow and what I believe may be an over-confident and certainly do-able Chulski mob. Yes, they'll possibly have some extra "local" Russian support but the team they face that Wednesday will not be the same nor will it play like the United they last faced. Look for end to end action with the Premier Leagues best defense and top attack coming out on top. I'm not big on predicting scores but I fancy us by at least two goals in both games ... and that's why (IMHO) "There's Only One United!" |
