Wigan's Pitch

Is shite. Or has been any time I've seen it. Will this affect the bleedin' game or what, caftards?

We are not Arsenal. A dodgy pitch does affect our game at times but we have the ability to just soldier on anyway.

12k.

The problem is, we don't have that many up top who can win headers, as I see it.

They will be playing the rugby game on Monday after our game.

The pitch will be ok for Sunday game.

the bad pitch isn´t just because of the rugby.

Has something to do with the heating system IIRC.

Certainly can't be held as an excuse if we don't get the desired result. Personally don't think it'll be a problem.

Yes, they postponed it, saying that they didn't want the quality of the pitch to potentially impact the title deciding match.

Also the bad publicity that goes along with having a crap pitch.

Looking at how we got on ok with the Old Trafford pitch being far from perfect, it should not be a problem.

Wenger is not the only one to use a dodgy pitch as an excuse....

Wigan Rugby League have not played at the JJB since the 20th April and Wigan AFC have not used it since the 26th.

So the pitch has hopefully been worked on and will be ok.

We can't use the pitch as an excuse should we fail (which I don't think we will). I don't think it'll be a problem.

I heard part of the pitch has been re-layed as no rugby or football has taken place on there for 2 weeks, the next fixture being ours on sunday

It's been great for the majority of this week barring a spell of rain on Monday. Saying that, i live about 25 miles away from Wigan.

Hopefully it will be in a good state given the postponed rugby match.
