If you don't mind me asking Niall, did our poker tourneys attract Betfair to offer this freeroll or did you approach them about it?

Or are the Caf poker touneys and this tourney just a random coincidence?

I know how to play Texas hold 'em but never played online.

I've got a Betfair account and downloaded the thing.

Is it easy to play if you know Hold 'Em or do you have to know online poker?

Just had a PM from a newbie with zero posts looking for the password.

From the looks of the player's list it looks like someone's given it to him aswell.

boxer13 I would guess is not a Caf regular.

You'll figure it out, the Betfair client is very basic (too basic) and easy enough to understand.

Not much we can do about this really if he's already got the password, maybe Niall can sort it out with Betfair?

It will be very disappointing if that is the case. Anyway for you to check Niall?

If someone from outside the cafe or who just joined the cafe wins this then I would assume he would not be eligible for the prize.

Betfair were aware of the regular poker tournaments so that might have influenced them but it wasn't brought up in our discussions.

Yes, anyone who joined after the competition was announced and is in the game is not eligible for a prize. They can still play but whoever finishes behind them will receive any prize they would have got.

30 odd is a pretty poor turn-out really for such a good competition

That's fairly cool is that, glad we may have helped bring this to the Caf.

So is it going to be like 30 odd round a table?

Will that not take ages between turns?

I've got a bottle of morgan spiced rum sat next to my pc, but only one can of coke so this may get a little messy

Good to see a familiar face in the list. Packed lunch, flask of coffee and few pre-rolled ones will see you through fine.
