Buying herbal medicines from abroad - restrictions?
I have a friend in China who says my father should try some herbal medicine for his arthritis. My friend can post the item but will it be stoped at customs? Where can I find more info of what you can receive from abroad?

Thing is if its beneficial then I suppose I would need it sent on a regular basis so I want to do this above board and legally for personal use only.

Posting it is dodgey. Probably will get pulled out since customs dont have a clue who is receiving it and for what purpose, as some meds may need a prescription, or that some of the herbs used to make the medicine could be banned in your country.

Im from the UK. I am not 100% sure what goes into it other than my good friends dad uses it and suggested ny dad also tries it. I am not planning any trips to China so the only way was for it to be posted.

As to buying it over here I don't know who to trust. It might just be a placebo effect but I have raised my dads expectations now.
