I don't think interesting is the word. The boss is at fault too for letting this low life claim and be paid in cash.

Forget benefit fraud, the only time I've ever come across people actually using the word grass normally has followed some viscious crime, by thugs who deserved to be locked up, but then when the victim or some witness has come forward they have been declared a grass and then been subjected to harrassment to intimidate them.

The idea of the honour of not telling serves only to protect those that shouldn't be protected.
Paul Webster is a case. A man who was attacked and outnumbered by numerous assailants wth his family branded a grass for getting them locked up. Idiots

Equipment like battery powered wheelchairs, specially fitted walking aids & leg supportive splints as well as physio. The husband is now drawing benefits but is also working a 3 days week on the quite for a lad. The money he earns working is going solely to buy the equipment to give his child a better quality of life. The money he gets on benefit is barely worth talking about.

I wouldn't call that man a cunt myself nor would i say is he abusing society infact i'd say he is being abused by society.
But by claiming benefits illegally he's contributing to the problem he's suffering from.

Is Peter against capitalism? Is he posting from his own hand made Internet source or has he contributed to capitalism to post shit on Redcafe?

To be fair, the internet is a byproduct of the military-industrial complex which is more of a off-shoot of capitalism.

What's the threshold for being poor and how many in the UK would qualify? How about we all commit fraud? How much would that take from the public purse?

True, but Bill Gates has given $28 billion to charity, and that's just for starters.

Which isn't relevant to anyone's point really, but it's so gobsmacking I think it should be mentioned a bit more.

It's usually taken as being on less that 60% of median household income. 13.5 million people or 22% of the population

I'm pretty sure if the government wiped out all benefit fraud in the country the money they'd save would go to repaying their own debt, the debt that is the reason for his problems in the first place.

No. Giving his daughter a better quality of life.

You wouldn't do the same if you were in the position he was in?

Fraud or stealing no matter by who, rich or poor, is wrong. Why should I as honest hard working tax payer have to subsidize tens of thousands of fraudsters? It costs the taxpayer, and that's you as well, millions and millions per year, year after year. Anybody who wrongfully claims 100 every week year on year should be grassed up in my opinion.

Since you won't provide a link I'll just go with these out of date numbers. The case being discussed is of a man making more than four times that. What's his excuse and why is it okay?

He's claiming something he obviously isn't entitled to, and that's terrible. Surely PS can't take issue with that!

I've just put in a fraud complaint about my ex, I noticed that I had stopped receiving csa from him so I got in touch with his mother and she told me that he isn't receiving incapacity benefit anymore...they stopped his claim after he was reassessed as being fit...but apparently he still gets DLA...I found this strange as surely if you can no longer claim a sickness benefit, then you need reassessing for dla too...

When an Incapacity Benefits/ESA customer fail a medical assessment DLA are informed and it is then their choice if they wish to reassess them. You can be fit for work and need DLA.

The claimant is supposed to report it themselves for DLA, I think

I think he was claiming both for the same reason though...and I know him...he is fit to work, he is just lazy and doesn't have anything wrong with him...

Doesn't matter though. Both are assessed differently. I'm sure you're right, like many of those taking advantage.

But what about poor Doris down the pub? She only does that 4 hour cleaning shift for her score note to spend down the bingo on a friday night.
