It doesn't have full flash support, which from my experiences, makes fuck all difference. You never notice it - well I haven't anyway. Put it down to AgainstAllOdds being a tit.

Very little. It is silly from apple and from what I can tell quite childish on their part, but I can't recall many sites that I've tried to view and been prevented from doing do due to them being run on flash.

Means that website content which needs Flash player to load cannot be viewed.

E.G. Megavideo. There's tons of TV shows and movies on there which you can watch.

I said I couldn't recall many, not that there were none. If those are the kind of sites you regularly visit on your phone then it'll be an issue. For me it isn't.

Flash was developed to play internet games. In this respect it's redundant in an iPhone as the games it has are better than the Flash games online. It does become a problem with some websites, but I see less and less Flash websites these days (maybe because website owners want their content to be viewable on Apple devices). It's also apparently a massive battery drain, which isn't ideal for portable devices, but would probably be less of an issue on the iPhone which has the best battery around. It would be better if the iPhone had it, but it's no big loss IMO.

I've noticed that too.

It's still a problem with certain sites that play video (e.g. 101 great goals) Definitely the most annoying flaw in an iPhone IMO.

Although apparently, you can get an app to run flash if your phone is jail-broken?

Yea, I've heard there's basically a 'Flash app', but it's not available in the main app store (so must be through jailbreak).

If Flash was such a big issue to me I might go to the effort to get it.

I am not arguing about anything, just giving some websites which you might wanna try, in response to the question. I didn't even mention android in my response. It was to the point. I can understand your frustration, but I would just like to point out that I was responding to the post only.

and for the record I have used/played games on those websites from a Froyo running Motorola droid, without any issues. If you want to debate on this further we can take it to its respective thread

I restored it. Then it wouldn't let me put my sim in because it was on Orange. Then I successfully jailbroke. Unlucky Apple, I win.
