It seems like 4.0.2 is out today. Anyone know what changes the casual user will see?

Probably minimal to none to be honest, it'll probably be mostly security related updates.

Find my iPhone for free sounds very good. Not willing to lose my JB though so will have to wait for the new crack to be sorted.

Dunno if it's too late but would seriously suggest you install SBSettings and BiteSMS before giving up on the JB.

Bitesms is brilliant, it's probably the best jailbreak app I've installed, so much better than the standard messaging.

I've never used biteSMS, (not really using the iPhone 4 now apart for music either) but can anyone tell me what's so good about it?

As Pogue said SBSettings and BiteSMS are but a few of the good jailbreak apps out there. You can also get Installous which lets you download almost all the applicaitons in the Appstore, for free. Can also get Winterboard which lets you change the Themes and edit your icons, lockscreen, etc...

I'd recommend going to: iPhone Hacks - MacRumors Forums and looking around.

Search through the threads for 'benefits of jailbreaking' and see what you get.

Taken from the macrumours forum:

1. Non-stop updates! Seriously, they update this app like 3-4x per month!
2. Always coming out with NEW features
3. Super close attention to detail and keeping the original Apple look
4. Very committed to fixing any bugs that pop up
5. They LISTEN to their customers. I can't stress this one enough -- you can go on their forums, tell them why you hate something or why it should have some other feature and more likely than not, they will implement it in a future release
6. Tons of features (quick-compose/reply, you also get notifications which you can click on the status bar and it lets you read the message, and loads of other stuff)

I like it because you can basically quick-compose, quick-reply, quick-read etc... from anywhere on your phone. That saves a lot of time and is pretty sweet tbf.

The full version costs money but there's a free trial which you can keep using after it expires (only downside is that ads start appearing in the application)

I had sbssettings and downloaded a few apps but there aren't many apps that I actually want so the offer of them for free had me downloading shit for no reason.

I've the quickreply app, that allows messaging from anywhere, even from the ringer. You put the the volume of the ringer up via the side buttons and it will give you an embedded option on the ringer dialog. Double tap to compose message. I think I saw it once in a review and decided that it wasn't for me really. I didn't think it had anything awesome enough to replace the stock SMS app.

How can you find out what folder the iPhone backs up to on your computer? Currently it's putting everything into my C drive and I manually have to cut and paste it into my USB drive as my C is packed.

Quick question guys,

I have added a yahoo mail account on my iPhone. The problem is that I have noticed that it doesn't seem to have synced my contacts. Is there any way of doing this without adding them to my 'Phone' contact list as that amount of email addresses would make my phone contacts list massive. Basically so that they are only available within the 'Mail' app.

Cheers.

Thanks for letting me know. I was just about to leave the house and I don't have a sim in the iPhone as am not using it for anything more than the occasional game and music, so I wouldn't have been able to update the game. Now I'll do it on Wi-Fi and play on my way.

Yipeeeeeeee.

What's that other puzzle game others were going on about a while back? Think Pogue and AAO had it anyway.

I want to get it.
