Basically it makes a record on your last.fm account of what you've been listening too and then you can go from there to recommended artists based on your taste or set up a radio station of songs they think you'll like. I know you're into your music so I think you'd like it, you can end up hearing some quite obscure bands.
edit: http://www.last.fm/user/adamowens that is my page if you want to take a look around at the features. |

Has anybody else been having trouble trying to convert tracks to ringtones?
I'm adding .m4r at the end of the file but windows isn't changing the file type, just the name ![]() EDIT: should mention that I have created an AAC version of less than 40 seconds, and have managed to do this before. |

I'm on windows GE, I have created ringtones before by just shortening the track I want to <40 seconds, creating AAC and then adding .m4r in properties to change the file type.
But when I do all that now its just changing the file name and not the type so it doesn't import as a ringtone. |

That iringer thing worked for me in so far as it exported the file, but it played with lots of skips and gaps.
Boothy to create your own rintones: 1. Select the song you want as a tone. 2. Right click and select 'Get Info', then select 'options' tab. 3. Change the start and stop times to the section of the song you want (has to be 40secs or less) 4. Right click again and select 'Create AAC version'. 5. Right click on your new <40 second track and select 'show in windows explorer' 6. Change the file type from .m4a to .m4r 7. Import your new file into iTunes and it should be listed under ringtones. 8. Change the start and stop times back on the original song. 9. Delete the shortened version of the song from your music library (so it is only listed as in the ringtones section) |

I've spent quite a bit of cash messing around with cases and invisible shields, but I now prefer to use the iPhone as it is to be honest. When I first got it I was worried about scratches and stuff, but it's been around 5 months without using a case and it's still in mint condition.
If you really want a case I'd recommended the Incipio Feather. It adds minimal bulk to the iPhone, you barley even notice it's on. It probably isn't good for 'drop' protection though. ![]() The Marware CEO Glide is a nice leather case.
