Got it today, its downloading an update for it as we speak!

First impressions are good, easy to use, and looks great.

Have to wait 2-3 days to get my number transferred over though!

Why? I have a 40gb iPod, and I need this for a phone more than a music player.

Thanks for your input though.

I reckon it costs around £315

Planning to buy two pieces next month.

How about the memory upgrade from 8Gb?

which one is better, IPhone or Nokia 5800 xpress music.

Heard nokia offers memory upgrade upto 166 GB.

Check out the Gadget Show website, they did a comparison the other week between the iPhone and the Nokia N95 8GB.

The Nokia came out on top.

I have no idea how the Nokia came out on top, this is without a doubt the best phone I have ever owned. I used to have the nokia, looks absolutely nothing compared to this phone.

Its great, easy to use, fast to pick up, great free applications, plus looks stunning. 10/10.

Why? Whats not to like about it or get bored of? I cant se myself getting bored of this, its got everything I had on the N95 and more, and all work much quicker.

Its a great gadget.

i just think that there is better phones out there in the same price bracket, dont get me wrong the iphone is probably the most appealing on the eye and its not a terrible phone i guess i just think its well overrated tbh. that said i can think of worse ways to spend money, did you get the 3G one?

Of course. Loads up Google earth in 3 seconds, and found my location in 11.

Its your opinion of course, and considering i have only had this for a few days, I cant really comment on the lifespan of it, but I dont see how I could get bored of it. Its so usefull, I even installed a little polish translator application on it (for free of course) for help with the polish kids at the school I work at, when it comes to shapes, numbers and other words, and I need a quick translation!

Well you will need a program called winSCP and then use that to get into the phones files and then find the directory /System/Library/Audio/UISounds/, rename the file you want to make the new text sound as sms-received.caf and replace the one in the directory.

This may only work on jailbreaked iphones though.

Well, my mate, during an argument with his ex, fired his at a wall and it exploded. So, if you're looking for a phone to throw against a wall in a fit of rage, then the iPhone probably isn't for you.

If you're one of those cunts who plays music through mobile phone speakers, rather than headphones, I hope you die a slow and painful death.

I love my iPhone, by the way. Best app is "TV Plus" which has the full weeks' TV schedules and lets me record stuff on my Sky+ box via my iPhone

Here here. People who do that should face the electric chair.

I bought a PAYG phone with a sim-free rolling monthly contract. For £15/month I get 400 minutes (any network) unlimited texts, unlimited 3G and free wifi.

I did have to throw my toys out the pram and threaten to leave a couple of times to do this.
