My Mrs was making up the pancake mixture last night & it looked like a bomb had hit the kitchen, which it was down to me to clear up. 4 spoons, a hand whisk & and electric whisk, 2 mixing jugs, flour & egg white everywhere.
Anyway, we will be starting with savoury, cheese, ham, turkey, then moving on to sweet, lemon & sugar, nutella, chestnut puree. Looking forward to an evening of tossing... |

you shouldn't use an electric whisk on pancake mix, aggravates the flour or something. if she used it on the actual batter then trade your wife in for a better one.

So what kind of pancakes are we talking about? Cause if it's the same kind of pancakes as we got here in Norway, then I really dont understand how anyone is able to eat them with either cheese, lemon or ham..

You pour lemon juice on them, in addition to sugar/syrup.
Cheese/ham is just some posh thing that nobody does, apart from Colin. |

It's the French influence, as I said these are crepes not pancakes. There probably isn't any difference in reality, except I get to eat savoury too.

I'm with colin on this one savoury crepes are awesome, I'll be having a main crepe, a desert crepe (nutella & banana) and then a thick american style pancake with syrup.
There's a little place in budapest that sells only crepes and they have a ridiculous amount of options, tempted to jump on a plane, it's pancake day heaven I tell thee
