The United one was probably past the sell-by date. Tabloid rubbish.

That's true actually, not that I can read the font, but the labels look different. Also, isn't 'Price Drop' used for a permanent drop rather than an offer? So unless they're going to sell United cakes for £1 forever, it's unlikely this is true.

Good spot.

Unlucky Why not buy this one, and then when it arrives take the one from Tesco back?

EDIT: Maybe not, their website seems to be dead

No idea. They seem to have taken some items offline though, I guess they got thousands more orders than they usually do I wouldn't be surprised if they disabled some of them soon, or limited it to one code per order.

The IV3119 one on the printer is saying it expired yesterday?

I used it this morning for the external hard drive though.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your recent order for the HP Printer.

Due to an unprecedented demand for this item it is currently out of stock. We are unable to obtain any information at this time as to when this will be available so your order has now been cancelled.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this matter has caused. Please do not reply to this e mail address replies are not monitored.

Kind Regards

BTW, can those (or a mod) that quoted my posts about the printer and the hard drive deals please edit the quote out? Just because part of that promotion was only supposed to be posted on one site apparently, and the guy who began spreading it is a little worried

If you are the gaming kind Toshiba is the last machine you go to. If not, Toshiba works well for the elderly .

Well it depends on the kinds of games you want to play. To be fair, Toshiba and pretty much any other brand are "just fine" for most people. I probably wouldn't buy one for myself, but I wouldn't discourage a casual user from getting one.

Since I game a lot, I prefer custom built desktops and since I couldn't bring mine from India I'm looking for custom built laptops. Are Stealthmachines any good jv?

Maybe not the thread for it, but I'm looking at laptops too and it seems like most of the custom build manufacturers have decent ratings but horrific customer service stories when it comes to laptops. If you're one of the 80% of people that manage to get one without any problems, you'll probably be very happy. If you're not you'll probably have a hard time even reaching customer service.

And if you think about it, that kind of makes sense. They're trying to stay in business while offering very high quality components at very competitive prices without the economy of scale that big time manufacturers like Dell and HP have. They have to cut costs somewhere.

This is increasingly common in the UK and the Guardian have been pointing out the spasticity of supermarket workers/head offices around pricing for a while now.

Half price TomTom XL IQ

Buy TomTom XL IQ (XL2 V4) - UK & Europe plus Reviews

It actually said this weekend only but it is still being advertised & there are loads left. I might have to raid my piggy bank for this one as to get a new map for my current one will cost about £60 anyway.
