Both, but requests help us prioritize a little bit. Some requests we have to set aside for a little bit simply because the threads are so large and we could fulfill 5-10 other requests in the time it takes to complete that one.

Give us specific threads. We're not spending time searching or trying to guess which threads you lot want, it's time consuming enough as it is.

Is the intention to eventually trawl through every single old thread or are you only going to move over threads requested?

Or are you moving over the ones requested first whilst gradually going through all the rest?

I think we're going to move across the ones people want (unless they're pointless and could be replaced by a new thread) and the rest will be hard deleted, as far as I know.

How about you get so far with it and then you entrust certain periods to volunteers, so you say, here are all the posts from August 2009 sort through them, clean them up and transfer them over when you are done.

Or would the temporary powers be too difficult to assign?

Yeah I genuinely wouldn't mind helping move them over if it wasn't too much hassle. I'd hate for us to lose some threads and then remember them once they're gone.

The old General forum is in the mod room. we will not be granting anyone access to this area.

I am hoping that the old Gen won't be hard deleted.

I guess you'd have to put the old General in a separate forum with restricted access then or something?
