It's all Cider's fault!

He should win this year's RedCafe Lifetime Achievement Award for this, as it's totally polluted the place.

Good name. How many players have you got so far? Do nm03, Shane88, ton0821 and Traub still play down there?

I have 22 (was 23 but Vato got promoted) and 4 reserves at the minute, but I'm not starting until Wednesday. My current list if you recognise some people:

1. MJJ
2. newseasonticket
3. Luzhniki2008
4. Tavino
5. Slevs
6. paceme
7. *** Vato1979 ***
8. Summit
9. nm03
10. PatrickE239
11. thepolice123
12. hp88
13. BD94
14. Duafc
15. WeakenedEmu
16. NickE
17. Maestro14
18. Proud_Lyon
19. brewlio
20. cctop94
21. BerbaSkill
22. iczster
23. Traub

RESERVE

A. LemonyRed
B. Red-Man-Walking
C. TheBest
D. DargonK

DargonK has been described to me as a list composer like you, but on steroids.

Quite a few familiar faces there which is good to see. Tonnes of newer players though which isn't surprising as most of the original newbie players have either been promoted or banned. The more people who play the game the better. Quite a lot of people don't like it but it's a great way to meet new people and form bonds/friendships. Without it there most likely wouldn't have been the newbie love in that some of the mains posters have hated up here, but the game has also helped some posters come out of their shell and post more. Without it some of them may still be in the newbies lurking.

This is the last league table I've recorded from my time down there after game 8:

Spoiler

56 players then but now, 8 games later it'll probably be closer to 120.

brewlio, hp88, LemonyRed, MJJ, nm03, PatrickE239, TheBest, Traub, and Vato1979 are all familiar names who I've played with and cctop94, newseasonticket and Luzhniki also ring a bell though I haven't played with them.

I had a brief conversation with Proud_Lyon once. He seems like a nice person. Dargonk sounds interesting but scary..

What does NK mean? It looks like it'll go ahead though there are only 9 players in it so far. We need a bit of a recruitment drive.

Fucking hell, I'm shitting it here.

What's a return to basics entail? How does a standard game differ from anything I've played?

Nice trailer robocop. A return to basics/standard game is one without any twists and just a few basic key roles like the ones described in the trailer for Weaste's one. There's no specific theme like some have had in the past.

The roles in Weaste's are:

5 Wolves
2 Seers
2 Bishops (Priests)
1 Guard
1 Witness
1 Pair of Lovers

The roles in the game here will be similar I imagine as they are some of the most basic roles there are. Roles which aren't really described as basic are ones people make up such as the Insane Priest or roles that are a bit more complicated like the Vigilante/Cop or Turncoat.

Are you still a reserve TN or are you going to bump yourself up to full player?

Burrow used one in his game but I imagine the rules for his will have been different to yours. It's a crazy role.

Someone should try an insane wolf, where when it's their turn to do the kill there is a whatever% chance that it's random.

Mine was done because of the jail cells, the players were locked up for so long that they forgot what they were and would only find out once released from the cell. Thus, the priest and the seer didn't know which one they were. Both got priest information and both got seer information.

Insane Priest: The Insane Priest has the same ability as the Priest, except there will be a 1/3 chance each turn that the response he gets when an actual role has died will be incorrect. In this case he will always get the response "Villager". He will not be told of his insanity though, when he receives his role PM it will tell him he is The Priest. He can train in the same was as a normal Priest, and the trainee will not be insane.
That was yours. Burrow's was similar but the chance was 50/50 and for the Insane Priest to become sane they had to change the result of one lynch vote. So say if Player 1 was going to be lynched, the Insane Priest could void it by PMing the game mod Player 2's name and Player 2 would be lynched.

After that happened, the Insane Priest then became Sane and escaped to the mountains where he was immune from one lynch and one slaughter. Once the turn was up the Insane Priest then met the pack of werewolves in the mountains and turned into a werewolf himself.

Look at Burrow's started threads, I think it was Game 7. I had the role and was suspected right from the start so I said in the thread that I was an Insane Priest (at the time we had no idea what it did) and I managed to stay alive right up until the game was cancelled as a converted Priestwolf.

I was annoyed at the time as I did have the perfect game before I was converted. Led the way for two wolves to be killed and was on the trail of another wolf. Once I was converted I saw that the rest of the wolves were ones that I had suspected in the game so knew there was no chance we could win. I then spent the rest of the game trying to get on the village's side and not be checked again.

Sorry I missed this, It won't start on sunday if we dont have enough people, not sure how long it will be. I to am unsure what NK means.

If people dont want to play this werewolf game / a werewolf game under me thats fine, but if we get the people that would be grand.

It's played in a far more serious manner up here, so be careful not to act the goat - you'll get lynched.

Does anybody have the comic saved that B9 did about TH's "seer reveal" in WWXI? Werewolf#Game11 - "All I Want for Christmas Is You" [Living Players only!!!]

He posted it in his journal but the link no longer works.

I would PM B9 and ask him myself but he's either no longer on the caf or is on in invisible mode but not posting.

If anybody does have it and could post it it would be much appreciated, thanks.

Yeah, he wasn't happy about having his posts edited.

Been looking through the earlier game threads recently. I remember hearing about vivs and Mickey being lovers many, many times but didn't know exactly what happened. These two pages (112, 114) are brilliant.

As for this game, if we're not able to get the 20+ people in, could we have a small game where there's say 8 or 9 players in? Then by the time that would be over there should be some more ready for a new game. I did a short game between two larger ones in the newbies and it worked quite well. 2 wolves, 1 seer and 9 players total (with the wolves killing first).
