The attendance at Anfield last night.

Why exactly do Liverpool need a bigger stadium?

The more away fans, more pickpocketing opportunities - they're having to resort to stealing from each other at the moment.

They have this huge waiting list apparently, although retards on a list doesnt mean they will buy tickets when the time comes, saying you want to buy a ticket is one thing, actually buying one is another

To be fair, we were well over 20,000 under capacity last night, and we were against Premiership opposition.

How many would there be at OT last night if it wasnt for season ticket holders being forced to buy tickets?

And we still manage to pull almost twice as many people as bothered to turn up at Anfield

We're not forced to buy tickets. If we were there would have been more people there.

Orientals outnumber scousers by a vast number, its just basic (racist) math.

Thank God for that!

Imagine if there had been as many Scousers as orientals.

The world would have not been a good place to live.

But surely if there are 10s of thousands of scousers on a waiting list unable to see their beloved local team then last night was a great opportunity...........

Not really. If you wanted to see the reserve and youth players get a run against lower league opposition then all power to you. Personally I would rather save my hard earned money for a match of greater importance, as would most normal fans. I see the united locals filled the Theatre of Dreams to capacity last night for their all premiership clash............

Far from filled it, but 25,000 more United fans than Liverpool fans bothered turning up

Had there been good rates on flights from Oslo, I'm sure the dippers would've reached capacity.

So by the topic of this thread should you not reduce the capacity of your stadium based on the attendance of this match alone.........

Thats nothing to be proud of. Big teams are supposed to draw big crowds no matter the opposition.

You were if you wanted to be in the pot to get aways.

I dare say that many who live far from OT didnt bother going, even though they had a ticket.

They played Crewe in a 3rd round cup tie on a cold tuesday evening.

Never going to set attendance records was it?

There is likely to be a low turn out tonight at SJP - part of the the anti Ashley protest. Expecting as few as 12,000 to watch the game.

Just like the old days at St James's Park!

As for United, there were significantly fewer than 53,000 in the stadium last night, whatever the official attendance was.

Indeed. The East stand alone was almost bare, and Boro brought over approximately 27 fans. (And still made more noise than the South...)

So are they counting number of tickets sold or tickets used?

I though it would be tickets used now there are swipe cards.

Any excuse to have a go at the scousers, but i would be curious to know what the price of tickets were for last nights match, cos i can bet any money they were not charging £40 for a ticket behind the goals, as our non members were having to pay, i think 53,000 tickets sold knowing it is going to be a completely changed side ( although not as bad as some seasons ) was a fantastic attendance. I am sure i heard from some source that Anfield tickets were greatly reduced for last night.

Clearly, the stadium's attendance is proportional to the stadium size square rooted as Conference sides with 4,000 seats only usually fill-up 1,000+ people, so a new stadium will ensure 100% occupancy, according to Scouse-logic.

Were the rest of them out robbing Robbie Keane again?

Or all at home on ebay trying to buy him a goal?

Capcaity's irrelevant though if you don't fill it, or at least get very close.
