AC Milan could play in the Champions League
The bulgarian football federation has asked that CSKA Sofia will be excluded from the next Champions League preliminary round cause of their financial situation; if UEFA will accept this request, the club that would replace the bulgarian team would be the one wit the highest UEFA coefficient, that means AC Milan. The italian club was involved in the opposite situation in 2006, when Lens asked to be admitted to the Champions League instead of Milan tha was involved in a corruption scandal.
http://www.transfermarketweb.com/?ac...ad&idsel=17615 Interesting, would this have happened had Milan finished 4th? I'll leave you conspiracy theorists to work that one out ![]() |

That would be such bullshit
Edit: I've just read the article and pieces with that many spelling and grammatical errors are normally bollocks, so I'm gonna save up my anger for something more concrete. |

You get a lot of money just to participate, so it makes no sense that you choose to abandon because of financial reasons. Of course... it makes sense if AC Milan gave them a better offer than UEFA

ffs this is unfair. It cant be true. They didnt earn the right to be in the tournament.
If this happens then Whats the point of a championship and positions in the table when you know uefa will do anything to keep famous clubs in the tournament anyway. I rather watch Levski Sofia or any champions of a lesser league than see Milan get a chance when they didnt earn it. |

Would be great to see them back in the CL although not this way. Maybe, they could take out a La Liga team instead?

Champions League Dream In Tatters Milan’s hopes of playing in next season's Champions League have been dashed after the Bulgarian FA (BFU) decided to give the UEFA license to Levski Sofia. Il Diavolo appeared to have been handed a lifeline as Bulgaria’s FA has asked that champions CSKA Sofia be thrown out from the Champions League due to financial problems. Reports suggested that Milan would be given the place as the highest UEFA ranked team not in the competition. However, Rossoneri hopes have gone up in smoke as it has emerged that the Bulgarian autho |
