Pretty sick considering they won it the year after they were charged and convicted of match fixing. I want them in the semi's this year with United getting the home match for the second leg. Reckon we wipe the deck with them. Embarrasing by UEFA though, this seems to be a common occurence,

Milan Set To Be Handed Champions League Place
The Rossoneri missed out on a place in Europe’s premier club competition after they only finished fifth in Serie A, following a hugely disappointing campaign. Carlo Ancelotti’s men, who have been the dominant side in the competition over the past six years, winning two editions, and reaching a final, semi-final and quarter-final, were gearing themselves to play in the UEFA Cup in 2008/09. However the Diavoli could now be on the verge of being granted a sensational back-door entry back into the Champions League. Bulgarian champions CSKA Sofia could be expelled from the competition due to financial problems, CSKA have been denied a license to play in the Bulgarian league, and the Bulgarian FA (BFU) has now demanded that they be expelled from Europe too. The normal procedure is that the BFU send the runner-up Levski Sofia to the CL instead, however it is reported that instead of this, the highest UEFA ranked team not already in the competition will be the replacement, and this is Milan. The Rossoneri would enter at the second preliminary round, and it would mean that Italy would have five teams in the Champions League, the others being Inter, Roma, Juventus and Fiorentina. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=722703 |

Speculation still?
Sofia have already gone anyway. Quote:
Seems like they will get back in, at the end of the day with AC Milan in there it makes the CL more appealing to the sponsors and media - money. |

Its fecking ridiculous.
First Cska Sofia is banned for not having the money and now Porto. It seems there was always gonna be a way to get Milan in the Champions League. If this was gonna be fixed then why is the point of a league table and a fecking drama of who gets fourth in the league. The fair thing to do is to give the Champions League place to the team that follows in the same league of the team that got banned. If its Cska sofia then give it to Levski and for Porto give it to Sporting Lisboa or whoever got the fourth place or third. Why Milan, why not Everton or Sevilla or even the champions of Hungary? Why Bayern had to spent a year in the Uefa cup when it could have been fixed also a place for them in the last champions league? The rules are for everybody and Milan deserve their UEFA cup next season. End of. |

Milan Handed Another Champions League Lifeline
Milan have been handed another Champions League lifeline as Romanian side Steaua Bucharest are on the verge of being excluded from the competition and this would open the door for the Rossoneri. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=725056 Well there is nothing more needed to see this is fixed. Every team is gonna be banned of the competition to make way for Milan. THis is just pathetic and sad. Fair sport my arse. |

And forget about this Milan stuff and being unfair, what's more worrying is all these cases of match fixing cropping up. |

Steaua have already been penalised by the Romanian authorities and their president George Becali has been accused of match fixing. He is alledged to have paid another Romanian side $2.6 million in order to help his side to win the league.
If this is the case then, just like Porto, they would be instantly kicked out under UEFA’s zero tolerance policy regarding such matters. Why weren't Milan banned in 2006? |

This is getting ridiculous, UEFA will lose their remaining credibilty if they let the cheats back in again against their own rules. |
