I think Egypt has to be the favorites considering how well they always do. Cameroon have some top players and Nigeria's squad is always one of the strongest. Algeria didn't look to bad the last WC.

Going to go for Ghana to win this. They seem like one of the only major African sides that aren't going on a downward slope at the moment, especially when you look at the likes of Cameroon, Nigeria and Egypt. Worrying for African football as well, considering just a couple of years ago it generally seemed to be on the up.

Of course I am. I posted months ago about how many of the best African teams aren't taking part. Think it was in a ACN thread on here somewhere. I was reassuring Brian that Chelsea wouldn't have to let Mikel go at all this year so he needn't worry.

Really looking forward to this kicking off... Think the fact that a lot of smaller, "lesser" known nations should make for an interesting tournament.
I quite fancy Senegal to take this one... with Ivory Coast and Ghana flattering to decieve. I hope Ghana win it though... the World Cup has converted me to being a fan. |

Looking forward to seeing Senegal, as I said in the betting thread I think they have enough quality to go the whole way. They will certainly beat Zambia today, Cisse and Ba will be far too much for what seems to be a poor Zambia defence.
