Am I getting old or is English football gone to sh!t?
This very week two managers have quit claiming they can no longer actually manage their clubs, that their hands are tied by so called Directors of Football as clubs follow the ‘continental model’. Could you imagine any of the former great managers operating under these circumstances?
Admittedly one of those that quit this week was serial-quitter Keegan but he was being asked to operate under Dennis Wise. Dennis Wise!! Newcastle were basically saying that Wise knows more about football than Keegan. I respect KK more for telling them where to shove their job. In the same week the billionaire group form Abu Dabi buy Man City and sign Robinho. Great for City but good for football on the whole in England? I think not. I am not just having ago at City. I would love to turn back the clock and banish the Glazers, Gillett and Hicks and Abramovich from ever entering the game. It is not just 'the foreigners' either, look at Ashley at Newcastle: the fat tit clearly has absolutely no idea how to run a football club, even more so than any of the other numpties that have bought a Premier League club as their latest status symbol... and that is saying something. Overpaid mercenaries on the pitch, rich wankers owning the clubs off it and fecking Sky over-hyping everything… so much so that 3pm Saturday kick-offs are a thing of the past. I know that is the way it is now, but I don't have to like it. Can I have my football back please Mr? |

for all the bad, the leagues not been this strong in a long time. We see that in europe and the players we have here now.
We've also cracked the south america market and bringing in players from africa, asia etc All these things are also detremental to the england team but there is some good from this. Maybe in years to come the next big talent will come to England rather then spain or Italy. No doubt more countries watch the english game now and as it stands we have an outstanding league but i'm sure some old fuckers will tamper with it out of jealousy You can also take pride in the fact inspite of all the bullshit, and the fact it's a hard league to win - we're as strong as anyone without some cunt throwing money at us and robinho at city!? Who'd have though but from an interest point of view people will watch it. From a club point of view, we're now in a strong position to bring in the players we couldn't before and rightly or wrongly, that can only be good |
