They are all Ronaldo fanboys and would hate any one (along with their team ) more talented than their boyhood idol.

In Messi and Barca they find their nemesis.

If we're getting into superstitions than you better hope my girlfriend and I break up. Since we've been together we've won the league twice and CL once.

seen from the two Betis goals and Barcelona's 3rd. Either team could have won it really, they both had chances

Some goal. Gudjohnson's finish wasn't bad either.

It appears Sporting Gijon are going to be Spain's Derby County this season.

I dont like everything thats good and not United, I appreciate the quality of other things though.

Ronaldo happens to be a Man United player, we're entitled to like him more than your "boyhood idol" Messi.

Barca were irresistable in the first half going forward. The first goal was superb finish by Eto'o.

Barca should have won comfortably. They rotated the team and dominated the first half.

Dissapointed with Xavi, he wasn't anywhere near his best.

Eto'o scored 2, one a cracker. Messi was at times unplayable as he set up 2 and could have scored a couple. They resorted to cynical fouling towards the end as Messi looked back to his unbeatable self.

Defense was shakey at times but it included Caceres (i think) who is a new signing.

Guardiola will be very dissapointed that his team were so on top to throw it away however last season they never would have went on to get the lead back so he will give them some credit.

Also Bojan came on and looked very VERY lively.

My boyhood idol were footballers from the 80's... Unlike some cretins we were never bothered wasting our time wanking over and compiling documentaries although many of them deserved a lot then.

Boyhood hero was probably Maldini, i played left back and remember waching football italia every sunday and thinking he was the best player ever...

Then there is players that played for my club who i still think of fondly.

Anyway did anyone watch this game? or the highlights on Sky Sports 2?

The best peice of skill (just) was when Messi set up Bojan, unreal control, turn, burst and pass. Sensational.

Or how about at the end when he went about taking on the whole team? only to be fouled but try to keep going 4 times. I admire that about Messi, he doesn't go down easy which is so rare these days, and considering he is so little you would think he might be easy to kick into the stands.
