Barclay clearly has an agenda against us.

He's far from an objective journalist.

Fair play to Holt for standing up for what he believes in in such a passionate way. Barclay was not expecting that at all.

Looks like he wants to cry.

Barclay's gone well off the boil in the last year. Since he moved to the Times, he has often come out with outlandish statements, probably in an attempt to justify himself as some sort of eye-catching authority of football.

Gotta say respect to Oliver Holt for being so angry about Barclay's statement, if not they would all have been sitting there with Brian talking shite about United as usual.

Barclay says we are getting decisions all the time, how Vidic could stayed on the pitch, that the FA needs to do something about it.

I hope Fergie let's him in to one of our press conferances next time if he dares to come.

Barclay's embarrassed himself. Anyone think he's going for a quick cry after the programme's ended? He just went on a rant about United getting all the decisions.... he's lost it, big time.

He backed off towards the end. I think he realised he was talking shite. Fair enough if he didnt like the Rooney incident and even fair enough if he thought the 2 game ban was just. But he made it out like he had comitted a serious crime.

Barclay - 'form doesn't matter when they're gettig decisions left right and centre'. He is so bitter

I think he looked a bit stupid in this whole argument.

If he is, he's in the wrong job. Anyone who has been in a newsroom a couple of hours before deadline would have heard the air turn blue.

Was it also Barclay who said regarding the "Torres quit" story, that it's to unsettle Chelsea because they are playing United on tuesday?!

Hmm, I get the impression certain journos are going to put a big asterix sign against any honors United may win this season. Fuck them. Let's hope we get at least one honour they can cry about.

Barclay suggest Chris Brunt as player of the year, fantastic journalist.

In fairness he admitted to wanting to pick a player from an "unfashionable" club. And outside the big teams Brunt has had a terrific season.

He's been good, but since 11th of december he's scored 2 goals(both pen's) and 1 assists, he's not been the same since the good start WBA had. Never POTY in a million years...
West Brom fans even wanted him dropped just a few months ago. Scharner and Mulumbu has been as good and important to them and Odemwingie with 11 goals/8 assists.

I like Barclay - he's actually got an interesting opinion once in a while, and you do get the impression that he watches every team in the league, not just the good ones.

And what Holt said about Wenger is just absolutely true, bang on.

Ashton made some good points there regarding the situation at Arsenal. What do you class as success? If the measuring stick is a top 4 finish and decent progress in the CL, then Arsene has been doing a fantastic job.

There needs to boardroom clarity over the situation..rather than coming out and saying "we've got x million available if Arsene wants to use it", they need to tell the people who pay a lot of money to go to the Emirates, whether the club as of now is in a position to really challenge for trophies. It might be hard to admit, but it would do a lot for the board's credibility. They've been lying through their teeth for years and years now, a bit of honesty wouldn't go amiss.

He is a twat of the highest order. Not surprised he's popular with Arsenal fans though.

I'd agree with that. They won't though, because it might look as if they were undermining Wenger. If they come out and say we really should be challenging on all fronts, and then we still don't win anything, Wenger's job becomes harder and harder.
