It is Glaston though, that's as exciting as it gets with him. |

Why do people get annoyed by predictions on football fora? Most of them are going to be wrong, and any prediction which includes the "Big 4" in the top 4 places isn't that contraversial

Jason McAteer just said on Sky Sports that he reckons Liverpool will win the title? Some of the Liverpool fans can often totally blow their results out of proportion. One win against their main rivals does not automatically make them the best team in the league. Chelsea still seem to be far superior in my opinion.

I dont ever make any rash predictions regarding my team. I'm just enjoying the start we have made, and am happy in the knowledge that we are capable of having a good run of results.
We did it at the start and the end of last season, with a dodgy run in the middle, and have strengthened this season. But to put a fine line on yesterdays result, you only have to look at last years league table. If we'd beaten you twice instead of losing twice, then we'd have finished above you. Ferguson himself said you can never confidently predict the outcome of our games, so who knows how it will all pan out. |

Not a fan of this logic. Reversing two results is a 12 point change between the two teams, which is not a fine line at all, its a pretty big difference. And that 12 point switch would only put you one point ahead of us, and the extra 6 still wouldn't have won you the title. You weren't close last year. This year may be different, we'll see.

My point is that the games between us can never realistically be predicted, although you have had the upper hand in recent years. But yesterdays result may have a huge impact on what happens in May, especially if we can repeat the result at OT. We are both capable of long unbeaten runs, we only lost one league game from mid February to the end of the season, that was at OT. You had a similar run. Injuries and suspensions will also play a huge part. You are clearly missing Ronaldo more than we are Torres, and Vidic will be a big miss. Where is Rooney going to play now you've signed Berbatov? He clearly wasn't happy yesterday and his performance showed it. Things look like they'll be a lot tighter than last season..........................but time will tell. |

Agree with you. I still enjoyed some of the skill he showed beating his man out wide on one or two occasions. He's good enough to play there, whether he wants to or should is different though I suppose. |

When he went off injured against villa you had no attacking threat at all because Torres is your only attacking threat.
Just because you beat us doesn't mean you aren't missing him as much as we are Ronaldo. We made two mistakes and you scored two sloppy goals. That's down to luck and us playing badly, if Torres was playing you would have won much more comfortably. |

The whole team was shit against Villa, and I'm convinced Benitez went there looking to "not lose". Torres would have made no difference as he would have been in Ferdinands pocket...................................wouldn't he. |

I've never said that, and I never agreed with the idea that Anderson dominated Gerrard either. Rio was good against torres last season but one game means nothing. |

The draw against Newcastle was a poor performance, and a poor result. The win against Pompey was a poor performance but a good result. Liverpool's performances this season have been just as poor, yet you've had pretty much a fully fit team. We've only played 3 Premier League matches. If you want to count matches outside of that then look no further than how Liverpool played against Standard Liege, awful. |

Yeah we've been poor so far despite decent results, agree. But we too have missed key players, including Torres, Gerrard, Babel and Masch |

I know excuses, excuses... but that's just how I see it. Fact is Liverpool have done brilliantly to be joint to of the league when you look at how poorly you've been playing. Whereas we've got exactly what we've deserved based on our performances. |
