Booing a player that has been racially abused

I found it rather odd, even if expected.

Liverpool and their supports continue to do very little for their image throughout the world.

Thought Evra did very well all things considered.

How ironic to see the "Kick Racism Out Of Football" advertisement hoardings in the background...

Really a sad day for Racism and especially Liverpool FC, they had a chance to somewhat redeem themselves but they failed miserably. Instead they'll now celebrate and probably even devote that victory to Luis Suarez, scum of the earth.

The ITV coverage has been set up to suggest this is some kind of revenge for Suarez and Dalglish, panning to them when they scored / the final whistle.

Liverpool have the most vitriolic fans in the Premier League. The booing didn't surprise me one bit.

Well I think the media didnt help too. They kind of motivated the Pool fans to boo Evra. But then again Liverpool fans have no class.

The booing was expected , what was more of a disgrace was the ITV commentary .
It was a joke and the most anti United I have ever hear , no mention of any of the booing , no replays of the tackle that could of been a red card but for him being subbed.

ITV were really, really bad. Just covering up the Evra abuse but throwing the spotlight on Suarez for the Liverpool goals.

Dalglish saying there was friendly banter. Really? Booing a black player continuously throughout the game for daring to complain about being racially abused for being black is friendly banter then? Aye ok. Fuck off Kenny you dipso.

Media? This reaction was down to that shithead Kenny and the club's stance in general. They accepted zero guilt and maintain that Suarez did nothing wrong.

Scumbags.

I thought I heard "We're not racist, we only hate mancs." Which in itself is a bit but has any football club ever felt the need to insert 'we're not racist' into a song? To be honest, I think it speaks for itself.

"Honest guys! We aren't racist (apart from the guy who shouted 'black bastard' and the bloke doing the monkey gesture), we've even got a song that says so!"

Pathetic bunch of cretins.

They will still pick every United game we ever play in the Cup to show live though. Absolutely horrid the commentary was, as well as the cameraman.

If it had been a LFC player racially abused by a MU player you lot would have boo'd the LFC player in just the same way as the scousers boo'd Evra.

Reminds me of UKIP and their official party tagline: 'Libertarian, non-racist party seeking Britain's withdrawal from the European Union.'

I was watching the game with English commentary, no idea who they were, but they both agreed, although disagreeing with the rule itself, that it should have been a red. They also talked a lot about United goalkeeper troubles and Carroll being shit and not even winning his aerial challenges.

Why would we? How can anyone possibly justify booing someone who've been abused? It's just like the WB-saga, where Wayne Bridge actually got booed when he was the innocent part in all of it.

We wouldn't know because none of our players are racist scum who'd racially abuse players and Sir Alex wouldn't react in the same scummish way as Dalglish.

They weren't booing Evra because he was racially abused or because he stood up for himself after being racially abused. They were booing him because they are convinced he made it up.

Which still makes them fucking idiots mind.

This is the club with fans who complain so vehemently against bringing back safe standing, who pretty much stand all game - including today - in the Kop end.

A ghastly, hypocritical shower of dickheads.

I'm sure that guy was just advertising Knowsley Safari Park. If the camera had stayed on him for a few seconds longer they'd have seen a wonderful impression of an elephant.
