Britains greatest manager.

This may have been covered in the past, as I've just watched it on ESPN Classic so its probably a couple of years old.

The program was called.................................."Britains top 20 managers"
The only criteria was that they had to have worked in Britain.

This group of 20 was decided by a viewers poll apparently, so is obviously far from being definitive.

20........George Graham
19........Terry Venables
18........Kevin Keegan
17........Howard Kendall
16........Howard Wilkinson
15........Kenny Dalglish
14........Ron Atkinson
13........Don Revie
12........Alf Ramsay
11........Matt Busby
10........Harry Redknapp
9.........Bobby Robson
8.........Rafael Benitez
7.........Bill Shankly
6.........Brian Clough
5.........Bob Paisley
4.........Jose Mourinho
3.........Bill Nicholson
2.........Alex Ferguson
1.........Arsene Wenger

You do have to seriously question the logic behind the voting, and on top of some strange placings in the top 20, the absence of managers from Scotland, Jock Stein being the most remarkable ommission.

Edit:- For those with Sky Plus, its still on Sky Anytime (the red button). It is a decent watch, despite the strange placings.
It shows the honours each manager has won, and some of them are very surprising. Must be total career honours and not just those won in Britain.

How on earth can Kevin Keegan who's never won a trophy be in the top 20 British managers of all time?

Theres no point arguing, you could put those five ( and Stein) in any order and you could be justified.

Yeah I agree.

We all know who has won the most honours, but all 6 have/had qualities that could be used in an argument to lebel them "Greatest"

Just remebered Jock was at Leeds for a while so he indeed does qualify, that clunt Mourinho was in based on what he did at Porto so why not Jock. Two European Cup Finals and the first British side to win it, that with a team comprising of 11 players born within 20 miles of the ground.

I never got over how fucking brilliant that was, 11 Jocks all more or less born in Glasgow, won the European Cup beating Inter Milan in the final.

Stein also had a little known spell at Glasgow Celtic of Scotland, which would also have him qualify.
