FIRST XI

Cech Vs Van Der Saar ----> Cech is the best in the world, Van Der Saar is a good shot stopper but prone to mistakes. Actually they are more like assists.....

Terry Vs Ferdinand ----> Nomatter how many times people say it, the fact of the matter is Rio isn't, never was and never will be as good as Terry. And he is as thick as wet cement.

Carvalho Vs Vidic ----> Another member of the 'World's Most Over-Rated CBs', Vidic has drawn plaudits by doing what any CB does. Riccy didn't get a mention, even though I reguard him as the second best CB in the world.

Fereirra Vs Neville ----> Paulo lacks confidence and makes mistakes at times. Neville is seen as 'one of the best' but I'm not really sure why. I'd like to see Paulo given more of a chance in the team. Couldn't care less about what happens to Gary though.....

Ashley Cole Vs Evra ----> Ashley is the best LB in the world IMO. Wayne Bridge gives stiff competition for the spot. Evra gets in 'Team Of The Year.' No idea why, but there must be a reason......... wait........ ummmm......... actually.......... no...... can't think of one........ got it! He plays for beloved Man U!!!

Maka/Mikel Vs Hargreaves ----> Maka was the best, Mikel is going to be the best. Quality all round. John Obi has shown great maturity and strength, indicating a fantastic career in England. Hargreaves is crap, no matter what John Motson and Sven made up in the world cup.

Lampard Vs Scholes ----> Lampard is fat, usless and overpaid. He scores 20 goals a season and gets 20 odd assists. Still rubbish though. Scholes is AMAZING. End of. Seriously though, Lamps is vital, Scholes is ginger. End of. (Sidwell is Auburn BTW).

Joe Cole Vs Ronaldo ----> Joe is key to us. He's began to use skill only when needed, and scores goals at vital times. Ronaldo is God. He can do no wrong. How can anyone not like the lad? Oh wait........ he's a jumped up little shite.

Ballack Vs Anderson ----> Ballack is the German captain, has won hundreds of honours and played at World Cups. He put his hands on his hips once, so he is lazy and doesn't deserve to wear the shirt. Anderson nutmeged a Brazilian (yes, Brazilian) U-14's defender on Youtube, proving he must be great!

Robben Vs Nani ----> Robben is always injured. Maybe he is a bit of a fairy, but he is bound to have a 'fit' run in the team soon, and we all know that he is capable of wonders at his best. Nani has 3 clips on Youtube and 1 on Google Video, and he's only 12!

Drogba Vs Rooney/Tevez/Saha/Whoever the hell the like! Drogba is the single best foward in world football. He is strong, quick, good in the air, scores big goals and works his spuds off for 90+ minutes. United can buy who they like, no one can be as good as him.

SUBS

Sheva/Pizarro Vs Ummmm The Chinese fella? ----> Sheva will have to come good. I'm expecting a similar story to Drogba's. Pizarro has experience, and is strong enough to adapt. United have the best young strikers in the world, an award which was decided by Guiseppe Rossi's Dad last week.

Sidwell/Diarra Vs Fletcher ----> Diarra could be great, Sidwell proved himself last year. Fletcher, well, is there anything to say about him? Grade 'A' mechanic (lets not go into that debate again!)

Bridge/Ben Haim/Johnson/Alex* Vs Wes Brown ----> Good solid cover provided by our lads. Wes Brown is a 'Sven fav' so that says it all.
*The only imaginary friend to be awared a contract at Chelsea.

I could really decide where to put him in the team, partly becasue he could be anywhere and partly because I could compare him to anyone.

Essien Vs The world before breakfast! ----> What can I say about him? I'll list a few suitable words. Machine, Monster, The 'Black JT,' The 'Next Maka,' The 'Next Lampard,' Cech's biggest rival......... All I can wonder is where will he end up next year? I'm sure he'd even make a good kit man!

The truth is that the first XI of both teams are probably about equal. I'd snatch at the chance to take Essien, Cech, Carvalho, Drogba and Robben off them where as they would take Rio, Rooney, Ronaldo, Neville and Scholes in a heartbeat.

I agree to some extent, i felt the same way last year when everyone thought chelsea were gonna win the league by 30 pts, however in the past year united have gotten deeper and more talented where as chelsea have sign 'adequate' cover. their signings arent bad especially since they are on frees + malouda but they arent as good as united's who were better than last year anyway. I worry about Chelsea for two reasons Cech and Drogba (although Essien is their best outfield player). Cech is the best goalkeeper in the world their has been no comparison to him since he has been at chelsea, and he gives chelsea a chance in every game he is fit, also drogba who although a cunt is the most powerful striker in the prem who can get goals just by wearing down defenders all the way. this will help chelsea greatly in the title race but i think uniteds overall quality will shine through once again

After recent moves in the transfer market by United, it seems most members on CFCnet seem jealous of them. Practically every topic is discussing how good their buys have been, how skillful they are, how exciting they are and how they are now going to win the league for the next 50 years. Some are even doubting the legend that is Jose, saying that they feel let down by his buisness this summer.

According to most, United's current squad (with or without Tevez) is an improvement on a team of champions, and better than us. Comparing the squads in the key positions (which suposses no injuries), this doesn't look so true.

Practically every topic is discussing how good their buys have been, how skillful they are, how exciting they are and how they are now going to win the league for the next 50 years. Some are even doubting the legend that is Jose, saying that they feel let down by his buisness this summer. According to most, United's current squad (with or without Tevez) is an improvement on a team of champions, and better than us. Comparing the squads in the key positions (which suposses no injuries), this doesn't look so true. Julian Kreeger I`d like to agree with your analysis but frankly I can`t. The fact is utd played a lot better football than Chelsea for much of the last Premiership season. They are not all idiots at least Julian got some common sense
