Copa del Rey
I was looking at this weeks Copa Del Rey fixtures and couldn't believe the odds on them, Barca Athletico and Real are all maybe 1/2 to beat shit teams from two divisions below. Makes it tempting to back.
Anyway, it could be interesting to see how they go, with Pelligrini in bother if he doesn't win, Athletico with their new manager heading to Marbella and Barca starting their defence. |

Malaga is good team. Toulalan give the good defensive protection and they play with intense and good pressure on Madrids ball holder.
So far Malaga has been the most dangerous team. Obs. Khedira was injuried in his right ankle close to half time. Didn't looked good at all. |

Ray Hudson is an absolute roaster. Creaming over Ozil in that last Madrid attack and he wasn't even involved.
![]() Madrid really are a dirty bunch of cnuts.

Well that renders a potentially interesting last 20 pointless.
Hudson dicking himself again on Ozil - he actually underhit the pass to Benzema, which was why his shot was 'poor'. |

When did Malaga sign Taibi?
Although haven't Malaga been taken over just this summer by some rich people? I reckon with a few good signings over the next couple of years they might be pestering Madrid and Barca at the top. At the moment they're a bit like City were when they'd only just been taken over. Amazed RVN played the whole game too. Would have thought he'd be more of an impact sub these days. |

They don't have anywhere near City's money from what I've gathered. Their sheikhs don't want to invest that heavily and usually buy wisely for lower fees or sign out of contract players. They paid a significant price for Cazorla but it was a good price too.

Ah, I guess specifically Malaga may not have enough money, but I do think if a club is given the funds they can challenge for the title. It's happened twice in our league, and is happening in others, so I think regardless of how strong Barca + Real, you couldn't discount the possibility of a rich man changing the whole landscape.

I bet on about 8 games the other day. Got 3 out of 5 Copa games wrong on that slip. Atl. Madrid lost to Albacete at home. Villarreal lost to Mirandes at home. Valencia drew Cadiz away. It's unpredictable.
Kind of safe to bet on Real because they barely beat Malaga last time and won't throw the tie away. Barcelona will definitely use youngsters. Their youngsters are very good. Osasuna will probably think the tie is over. Any other game can go either way. |

Mirandes, the Division 2B team, drew with Racing tonight and go through 3-1 on aggregate. They get Espanyol or Córdoba (Cordoba are a Liga 2 team) in the quarter finals.
Madrid, barring a miracle of matchfixing proportions in Osasuna on Thursday night, will now be playing Barcelona twice this month in the Copa QFs. Mallorca are the other team who qualified tonight. |

The QFs will be
Mirandes Vs Espanyol Mallorca Vs Athletic Valencia Vs Levante (Valencian derby match) and, of course Real Madrid Vs Barcelona First legs are next week - with the clasico on Wednesday. Casillas says the clasico's novelty has worn off a bit - they'll have played 9 times in 12 months by the time the month's out. |

The Copa's giantkiller party continues. Mirandes a semi pro team from 2B beat Espanyol over two legs, going through on away goals. The star man was back working in a bank today.
They'll play Mallorca or Athletic in the semi final |
