Cup replays

2nd replays, third replays etc used to be great.

IMO it would bring back something to the FA Cup

Would never work!

Some clubs already play over 50 games over the course of the season not to mention the extra travelling and money it would cost the fans.

But what about sides going for promotion/play offs or battling relegation? They could do without the extra games.

Important source to try and get draws to play another game? Yea, that's what the cup is about.

I'm personally someone who would rather get rid of replays. Just go to extra-time and pens. It saves time for the teams involved, in my opinion.

It's impossible these days. The Quarter Final replay is the midweek between the Last 16 and the Quarter Final, The 5th Round Replay is the midweek between the Last 32 and the Last 16, and whilst the Semi Final and the Final don't have replays, that is where the original matches get moved to!

Essentially:
Code:
Domestic Game FA Cup 4th Round Replay
Domestic Game Last 32 1
FA Cup 5th Round	Last 32 2
Domestic Game FA Cup 5th Round Replay
Domestic Game Last 16 1
FA Cup Quarter Final	Last 16 2
Domestic Game FA Cup Quarter Replay
Domestic Game Quarter 1
FA Cup Semi Final	Quarter 2
Domestic Game Moved for FA Cup Quarter
Domestic Game Semi Final 1
Domestic Game Semi Final 2
FA Cup Final Moved for FA Cup Semi
Domestic Game Moved for FA Cup Final
Something like that, where would you put those games these days?

Edit - If they scrap the remaining replays I'd honestly give up. Every country should have a first class Cup competition worth almost as much as the League, not some 3rd class, barely on TV reservefest.

How many ties end up going to penalties after being drawn for a second time? Statistically not many at all.

Though I am not fond of the idea.
