He is OK according to the daily mail

"After a number of hours in hospital following the accident yesterday afternoon, Mr Ginola was allowed back to his hotel room"

Some journo has now said that he has only a few broken ribs and has been released from hospital.

I hate Twitter rumours

Anyway i hope he's okay

Yeah I'm reading he's been released and has cancelled some charity stuff he was doing in the next week but is otherwise fine.

I don't see the point of skiing. One of these holidays you pay massive amounts for to seriously injure yourself and perhaps die.

Sounds like sensationalist reporting if he was allowed out after a few hours in hospital.

Agreed, but underrated how? Won Player of the Year in 1999 even when there were others more deserving.

Greatest holiday in the world in my opinion... hurt myself far more seriously playing football that I ever have in my 17 years of skiing.

You maybe. Our best female professional is in a coma and Liam Neeson's wife died on holiday. Also Sonny Bono. And almost one of the worlds most promising skiers. He's learning to walk again.

Guess what I'm saying is lets agree to disagree.

David Ginola loses lawsuit against former France coach Gérard Houllier

• Court dismisses slander and defamation case against Houllier
• 19-year feud stems from 1994 World Cup qualifier

The misplaced pass that started the feud:

Not sure how Houllier can blame Ginola for that. Ok he put a poor cross into the box but the passing from the Bulgarian lads and that finish were just brilliant.

Houllier is as bitter as they come.Prior to the Bulgaria match there was an easy match against Israel and if France won that, they'd have qualified for the WC94.They drew against a very poor Israel team.Yes Ginola was a bit cocky and could have held the ball longer but you watch the goal and how the Bulgarian counter attack develops itself after he loses the ball, it's madness to blame him for the goal and the fact that France didn't get to play in the WC.
A lot of people in France hate Houllier for that, for his bitterness and pure personal hatred towards David Ginola.

Didn't Cantona and Ginola "fight" about this for many years as well ?

You're right Amir.I don't know why I wrote "draw".It's actually even worse, I mean no disrespect to Israel (they have improved a lot in the last 20 years) but in 1994 France shouldn't have lost to them.Houllier is a cunt and a very bitter person, in each opportunity he was given, he's spit his hatred towards Ginola even going as far personally insulting him in his book.

At the time there was conflict among the french players between the players who used to play/played for Marseille and PSG.It was basically a real hatred, Ginola and Cantona were both young, talented and unfortunately extremely arrogant too.I don't recall every detail (as I was too young) but I read many times there were clashes but them.
Cantona was waiting for the ball to be passed to him by Ginola but Ginola went for the individual effort with the consequences we know. After that match, Houllier resigned and many players of that talented generation were basically banned to ever play for France. It's a bad chapter of the french national team history

Yeah you're right about Houllier. He doesnt come out of this well at all. Silly beggar really because that goal was class. I remember watching the highlights of these games on Eurosport as I loved catching up on all the qualifiers when I was a kid but that goal was just fantastic and it didnt stand out for me. I loved Kostadinov as a player though. World class.

I don't get these people being bitter about one mistake. Many mistakes get made that go punished or unpunished throughout games, tournaments and seasons.

Simply put as mentioned above, had France done the job in the other games this mistake would have been a moot point.

Spot on Skholesy and besides if one has to be blamed of something, at least it should be for a sensible reason.Ginola just didn't keep the ball for a few seconds and overhit a cross. He cannot be blamed like Houllier has done for several years for the elimination.
Houllier went as far as describing what Ginola did as " a crime against his team and teammates"
