Nah, he bobbled around a bit there for a bit, then went to Thailand, and then failed a trial at Blackpool

Wasn't he at Blackpool a couple of weeks ago? They offered him £90 a week, or something, with performance based bonuses. I think he told them to piss off.

They offered him £90 a week? Are they having a laugh? Fine he is a very wealthy player but that is just ridiculous.

Former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler looks set to reject Blackpool's offer of a deal at Bloomfield Road.

Free agent Fowler had been training at Blackpool ahead of a prospective move to the Championship hopefuls.

Seasiders boss Ian Holloway was hoping to agree a deal to sign Fowler, but he admitted earlier this week the move looked in danger of collapsing.

Reports suggested Fowler had turned down the offer of a £5,000 appearance bonus, and just £100 per week if he did not play.

However, Fowler revealed on his Twitter account that he was offered a smaller amount than the figures suggested.

"Actually it was £90, but would need to play full 90 (minutes) to get full appearance bonus," Fowler tweeted.

Isn't 90 pound a week lower than minimum wage?

I mean how many hours a day would he be training there? Lets assume it was 3 hours a day 6 days a week + 90 minutes in the reserve thats £4.60 per hour.

And obviously he is working before and after the 90 minutes.
