Was really quite worried, I can't afford to make two subs in my FF team and I need to change a defender.

He's always been a massive drama queen. Absolutely no reason not to assume it was more of the same.
If not, fuck him. Boy who cried wolf and all that. |

The shaking looked a bit OTT.
I thought it was funny how he was in agony being helped off, VDS had a go at him and he managed to get enough strength to turn around and shout something at Eddie, then turned back clutching his ribs. |

And even if it did hurt, was there any need for the pseudo-seizure? It was embarrassing to watch.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who's ever experienced extreme pain, in sports or otherwise and I'm speaking as a bit of a soft cnut, if I'm honest. Nonetheless, I've broken my nose, fingers, ribs and ankle, as well as needing 30 stitches in a gash in my foot and never put on such a ridiculous display. Has anyone else? That's why you could tell Drogba was just doing his usual drama queen shtick. If you ever watch a player get genuinely badly hurt, they tend to just lie quite still, holding the bit that hurts, maybe raise an arm for the physio. If you see someone acting like Drogba, you can be fairly confident there's fuck all wrong with them. No great surprise he was promptly back on the pitch. |

I wasn't. I don't care who you are or who you play for, if I think a player is seriously injured or in danger, I get scared and don't like it. I can't stand Terry but back when he got that boot in the face against Arsenal and was flat out, for a moment I was scared because he was down and so still. Fuck sake I thought he wasn't breathing or something but Drogba tonight looked so OTT. The leg shaking was very dramatic. Didn't stop him going to walk off, then turning to go back and give off to somebody. Drogba gets studs to the chest, lies there and fakes shaking, Vidic gets studs to the chest, gets up and shows his war scars.

I thought it was quite funny,
We all have played football and all have had injuries, some will have had some serious ones. And all of our team mates/mates all no doubt thought it was fucking hilarious as we rolled around in agony. Hes a big strong guy, he'll recover. I was in the pub watching and all the United fans were in tears, if i would have stopped everybody to call them all cunts for laughing at Drogba... i wonder what reaction i would have got. |

I've seen similar challenges by keepers when forwards have been looking to jump into them to get a cheap shot. It was a ball Drogba was never going to win, he was looking to make a dangerous challenge out of frustration, which is why he was booked.
It's had to say whether there was intent on Evans' behalf, but it didn't look good. Thankfully the ref saw it so there can be no retrospective action as far as I know. |
