The Enemy of my Enemy..........

Ive been thinking about this for a while now(which admittedly makes me some breed of transfer muppet) If I were Moyes how would I improve the sqaud that I already have. With all their current problems signing players(excluding Lars jacobsen) who would I suggest they attempt to sign within logical possibilty of success.

I don't know whether thier current problem is budget related or stature related but just for hypothetical purposes let assume they have 20 mil to spend.

Who would you attempt to sign to improve their current squad if you were Moyes?

Keepers
Tim Howard
Iain Turner

Defenders
Joseph Yobo
Joleon Lescott
Nuno Valente
Phil Jagielka
Jack Rodwell
Leighton Baines
Lars Jacobsen

Midfielders
Leon Osman
James Wallace
Phil Neville
John Paul Kissock
Dan Gosling
Mikel Arteta
Tim Cahill
Steven pienaar

Strikers
Keiran Agard
Jose Baxter
Yakubu Aiyegbeni
Lukas Jutkiewicz
James Vaughan
Anichebe

PS: You can opt for more than one signing. Formations also welcome.

It all just looks a bit average really doesn't it? Howard, Arteta and Yakubu aside...

Arshavin would be a good signing for them (not that I think for one second he'd go there)

Arteta will be leaving there soon I reckon. He's far too good for them

They could do with a centre back...maybe they should try for Corluka? A decent all round midfielder, Darren Fletcher and a support striker, not sure who.
Moutinho is obviously class but looks like he is staying, i've always liked Zigic as well...

Zigic, Vagner Love, Mouthino, Thiago Motta, Riera, SWP have all been linked with moves to Everton in the last week.

Podolski would do wonders with Yakubu upfront.

They need two central mids really, having not replaced Carsley or Fernandes from last season. Players like Sidwell/Fletcher/Gilberto Silva/Moutinho were talked about over summer but Everton didnt get any of them for various reasons. Other options would be players like Palacios/Bullard/Harper(reading)/Giles Barnes, plus there is plenty of options abroad. Alternatively they could get a proper winger like SWP and play Arteta in the centre. Possibly a forward to play off Yakubu as well, although not a priority as they have Osman/Cahill who can play there or have one of their youngster upfront. They shouldnt have sold McFadden though.

They have 3 fairly decent centre backs in Lescott, Jagielka and Yobo, so dont see why theyd need another.

Denmark full-back Lars Christian Jacobsen would be ideal for them

A central midfielder who can protect the defence and a forward guy to play upfront with Yakubu. If they had got their shit together earlier they could have got Muamba and Diouf, now they'll be lucky to get Gavin McCann and Michael Chopra and they're probably better sticking with their kids than signing players like that.

-Sebastian Kehl from Dortmund for around 7m (Dm). experienced and solid would be a good siging for Everton.
-Simon Rolfes from Leverkusen for around 7m (Cm). good passer of the ball, German International.
-Giles Barnes from Derby for roun 6m and play him on right...he looked decent every time i saw him.

------Kehl-Rolfes-------
Barnes--Cahi--Arteta---
-------Yakubu----------

very solid team IMO.

Everton have the best centre backs outside of the top four, and probably just as good as Arsenal's, not much behind Liverpools. It's the strongest part of their squad.

I rate Dunne and Richards from Man City over Jagielka and Yobo.

I can't believe that Andy Van Der Meyde is still "playing" for them.

If I were Moyes I'd rob Feyenoord of a couple of youngsters, Bakkal and De Guzman could do a job for them.

Because they have to play him there.

He is a centre back.
