Would love Fulham to do it, its a nice yet rare feeling to genuinly want another English side to do well in Europe.

Forlan might be too good for them, backing Fulham though.

Really hope Fulham do this, but I'm just afraid it's a step too far.

It would be amazing for the club.

I thought Juve was a step too far, and Wolfsburg, and Hamburg when they went 1 - 0 down at home.

Same, woy's boys can do it though, and I very rarely support other English in Europe.

Come on Fulham! And I agree with the sentiments of the other posters when they say that it feels weird to want another English side to do well in Europe.

First of all boro.

Second juve should have trashed them.

Third Shaktar should have trashed them.

Fourth Wolfsburg should have trashed them.

Last hamburg should have trashed them.

Away from home Atletico have only won 4 games all season, and have lost away the third highest amount of times in La Liga this season.

It's not that simple.

Yes, Boro I meant.

And don't get me wrong, I haven't got anything against Fulham, but that list you provided just shows you they've done immensley well to get his far and this step might just be one too many.

It doesn't really matter about home or away form in a cup final at a neutral venue to be honest though.

But if you want to compare the facts, Fulham have also only won 4 times away from home this season. Once in the league against bottom club Portsmouth 1-0. A 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley. A 3-2 win over Basle and a 1-0 win away to Wolfsburg. Both teams have had extremely poor away form so to point out Madrid's deficencies in that department is meaningless.

Fulham managing to win an European competition - now that would be some achievement! Hodgson and players have done absolutely outstanding so far, tremendous stuff overall.
Come on Fulham, go on and win it!

Fulham to go 2-0 down. And then somehow win again with Zamora, Dempsey and probably Duff scoring...

I couldn't find the feckin thing last night as I wanted to tape it. someone told me earlier today that DirecTV has the rights so that might explain that.

I'm thinking of heading to the pub to watch some of it.

Final Press Conference

Duff and Zamora trained, Hodgson hasn't seen any reaction to their injuries; no indication they won't be available.

Hope Fulham go under to begin with so they start to play attacking football. They really have been dreadful to watch when away from home in Europe.

Are Atletico a good bet at 11/10 to win in 90 minutes?

Fulham have been tough to beat away from home, but in the League they're a bit naff. What about Atleticos form?

The Boro final from 2006 sticks in my mind, where Seville handed them a hammering 4-0.

Channel 5s coverage of football seem just wrong. The montages, the voiceovers, the experts (except the god-lke Pat Nevin) the graphics, everything.

It's like a cheaper, more crappy Eurosport.

Fulham don't even care about the league, they've played at this pace for the past 3 months and still remained pretty much in the same place. Their European form and domestic form aren't related that way, the fact that they've been poor in the league means nothing.

Fulham have been average away from home for a good 3 years now, from my memory.

I just wonder if the occasion will get to them. Didn't against Juve though, saying that.
