David Beckham, although a good, vibrant footballer, is without debate a complete knob-end. He's the sort of bloke who'd wank with a mirror. He is beyond reproach in his annoyingness, without forgetting his distastefullness.
He irks me. |

He's one of my favorite.
You guys are talking aboiut how media frenzy he is. But if you can imagine other people with his looks/fame/skill could be more of a cnut than him (Gerrard/Ronaldinho/Ronaldo(Fat)). Even during the last day in United he was not acting judish and cnutish at all time. Respect, I don't care if he's overrated or underrated or watever. You respect him for what he has given us. That Ole and Sheringham goals come from a corner he whips mind you. |

No he only managed PFA young player of the year twice; Becks too got it once. But the interesting thing is Pallister won PFA players of the year once. It showed that you only need to play brilliant throughout a season to win this. Becks and Giggs both played great (but not having one brilliant season) through most of their careers.
Ronaldo would definitely win it again this season. It's a no-brainer. |

seems to me that its the younger posters who idolise Beckham and have fallen prey to the media hype, even now a few years after he left us |

If you're actually trying to compare Beckham's contribution to the treble to Berg's then you're clearly a moron. And no, you can't make such a statement about Berg, all you can say is without him Inter would have scored a couple of goals and probably taken us to extra time in the Quarters, Beckham made vital contributions consistantly through-out the entire season, without which there is just no way we would have won all 3.
Beckham was phenomenal for us in 98/99, anyone who says different is just taking the piss. Only Keane was more important to us that season. |
