We would not have won the treble without Beckham. That season he contributed as much as Yorke & Stam, was absolutely immense for us.

He was my idol when growing up and not because of the lifestyle, I modelled my playing style similar to his while growing up, though nowadays I try emulate scholesys style of play more.
same here, now i play more like riquelme as i am even lazier than he is

I dont care what anyone says.

David Beckham was a great player. It is not simply your natural ability or skill that makes you great. Its what you do with it that counts. Throughout his whole career Beckham has responded to adversity and never given in to his doubters. Furthermore he has consistently delivered in the big games and truly made the most out the talent he has got.

To me, that is what greatness is all about. Im proud that David Beckham played for Manchester United and England.

Thanks for the memories Beckham.

For all you can say about David Beckham - He never won PFA, FWA, Player of the Year awards.

Hardly a fair assessment, neither has Henry, RVN or Keane. Hell, Ronaldo only fucking came 3rd last year, and he deserved it. It's not exactly a myth that the Premiership gets overlooked in those competitions.

Apologies, I admit when I'm wrong, and I'm certainly wrong, I assumed you were just talking about the world player of the year

the spain thing is a feather in his cap, it's fucking off to america to be a star that I base my accusations on ... and the challenge of making MLS decent ... only an egotistical idiot would imagine they could do that ...

dared take up the challenge , don't make me laugh

from an england point of view beckham is indicative of why the team underperforms... if it wasn't for the hype and nonsense , scholes would've stuck it out longer ... the media hoop la about beckham the villain only for him to replace princess diana on fleet street , a fucking circus ... WAGS and all ... imagine having to go to a world cup for a month and have to take Gerrards hag of a missus along ... maybe it was mrs scholes who had enough ... the england team is a joke, reinforced by beckham and the nonsense that surrounds him,. another country might leave him out even if his talent warranted a place , because of the damage the bullshit brings ...
