Fantastic News for Football

http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...ia/mar26l.html

Seems like the Phenomenon could be on his way back ahead of schedule. This news has cheered me up no end.

AC Milan need to have a major clear out and I'm sure Ronaldo will be on the way out.

Im sure he will, but I hope its not back to Brazil. Would love to see him give the Premier League a go, as unlikely as it seems.

Good news indeed.

Although, having see the thread title, I was hoping Ashley Cole has died, but hey, you win some, you lose some...

Shevchenko at his peak doesnt even come close to a semi-fit Ronaldo. Bite your tongue.

I don't know, Milan will want rid of a lot of the junk, but some of their elder statesmen still have a lot to offer. People like Nesta and Gattuso may be in their thirties, but they've still got the legs to play for a few more years (unlike Seedorf, Cafu, Maldini, Dida et al). Ronaldo falls into that category, because I think he easily still has the legs to turn it on when he wants. Especially in Italy.

And who better for Pato to learn from than the man he's almost identical to?

You said you would have liked to see Ronaldo come to the premiership, I said like Shevchenko who I'm not sure if you realise is actullay playing in the Premiership and has come up looking like a sunday league player which is exactly how Ronaldo would play if he came to the premiership on current form. I didnt mention anything about "peak" and neither did you so you bite your tongue.

What IM saying is Ronaldo, on current form, is just as good if not better than Shevchenko was at the top of his game in Italy. Did you actually watch him when he came back from injury around Christmas time? He injected new life into the Milan team and he was amazing, their results started to pick up aswell. The man has been the best player (in my opinion) that the Brazilian, Dutch, Spanish and Italian leagues have ever seen and was breathtaking for every team he has played for. But yeah, you go ahead and presume he'd be shite in the Premier League.

L.A. Galaxy could become the haven for all ex-Madrid players. I heard Figo was interested in going state-side as well.

You would have predicted how crap Sheva would have performed? Yes I did watch highlights from one of their games and he was good but if you honestly think we could make in the our League then thats your opinion.

I dont think anyone predicted Shevchenko would be shite in the PL, but theres a very big difference between him and Ronaldo. Shevchenko has been in the one league for most of his career, I wouldnt even count the Ukrainian league as there was only one team in it during his time and that was Kiev - Shaktar werent a threat back then. Ronaldo on the other hand has blown away every league he has played in. I honestly do think he could make it in the PL if he gave it a shot. Sadly, I doubt we'll get to see that argument settled.

Your claim is backed by the fact that they play music (bad music usually) during actual play

I love playing indoor(Agreed though outdoor is a thousand times better), but yes, watching it is a good remedy for insomnia.

If I was in Ronaldo's shoes I would work my arse off to get into the best shape of my life and then get his magnificent career to go out on a high (Possibly lifting the Champions League trophy) to prove a point to all the people who call him 'Fat'.

He's been the best player of my lifetime and he deserves more repect.
